A wonderful free museum full of New York State history.
If you have never been inside the NYS Capitol, it is a beautiful building with a fascinating history. It's also where Katie works. No reservations are needed for weekday tours, but reservations are required on Saturdays. There are tours at 11:00 A.M and 1:00 P.M.
New York's first farm cidery! Their production facility and tasting room are located in Albany, about one mile from the Capitol building.
Down the road from Nine Pin is Druthers Brewing. Good beer and good food.
Jeremy and Katie's favorite local restaurant.
For those who want to go for a run or walk along the river, head down to the Mohawk-Hudson Bike Path.
For a true New York experience, head to Indian Ladder Farms to pick some apples, drink cider, eat cider donuts, and visit Rosie- the Scottish Highland cow. There's even a brewery and cidery on-site.
