Where is the wedding?
The wedding ceremony and reception will take place at Historic Whitewood located at 2987 Huguenot Trail, Powhatan, VA 23139. The wedding ceremony will be outdoors on the beautiful lawn at Historic Whitewood. Our guests can enjoy cocktail hour on the patio, and our reception will take place in a stately, 4,000 square foot, high peak pole tent. In the event of rain, the entire event will take place under the tent.
What should I wear to the wedding?
Formal attire – We suggest men wear a suit in any color and women wear a cocktail dress or a nice pantsuit. We kindly request that guests refrain from wearing white. With an outdoor venue, we recommend opting for flats, block heels, or sandals with sturdy soles.
What time should I arrive at the wedding ceremony?
The entry road into the venue will close at 3:55 pm, and the ceremony will start promptly at 4:00 pm. Please arrive with plenty of time to park and find a seat. If you do arrive late, we kindly ask that you wait until the ceremony is over to join us for the reception.
How do I RSVP?
We invite you to RSVP on our knot page under the RSVP tab by May 1, 2025.
Will there be parking near the wedding venue?
Yes, parking attendants will direct cars to park in the parking field on the venue property. There is handicap parking close to the ceremony and reception sites. Golf cart rides will also be provided for our handicap guests.
Where do you recommend that we stay?
For your convenience, we have reserved a block of rooms at two local hotels. See the Travel tab on our knot page for more details.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
The bride and groom request that this be an adults-only event unless your child is specifically listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding.
Will there be an open bar?
Complimentary beer and wine will be available throughout the evening.
Where should I bring/ send wedding gifts?
If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to 3601 Branch Lake Ct. Powhatan, VA 23139. A wedding card box and table will be at our reception.
Am I allowed to take photos at the wedding ceremony?
We invite you to be fully present with us. Please keep all devices turned off during the ceremony, but feel free to take pictures the rest of the night!
What time will the reception end?
The last dance will take place at 9:45 pm with the bride & groom send-off immediately following.
