Katie and Andy officially exchanged vows on October 20, 2023 in Asheville, NC with their immediate family, so this Omaha “wedding” is more of a celebration with family and friends than a formality. However, the couple will include some unique events to make it feel more special and ceremonial. The Nebraska wedding ceremony/reception will include a short renewal of vows, a jersey exchange* (see note), a video reveal of the October wedding, and a reception with food, drink, and merriment. *Katie grew up a Nebraska Cornhusker football fan and attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln where her love of the Big Red only deepened. Conversely, Andy has a passion for the Miami Dolphins and believes they will win the Super Bowl (every year). As they join together in marriage, they will also join together in their sports team fandoms. As part of the ceremony, Katie will give Andy a Huskers jersey, and Andy will give Katie a Dolphins jersey. Both will be embossed with the Jensen last name as a symbol of their union.
