What is the schedule for the day?

1:30pm to 1:50pm: Arrive at City Hall. We recommend entering through the Polk Street entrance (also known as 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place). You can also enter on the Van Ness side of the building if you choose.

***Please note you will have to go through security at City Hall, so please plan your arrival time accordingly.***

2pm: Access to seating and standing area at Mayor's Balcony in City Hall. Click here for more details on the ceremony location within City Hall. This is where the ceremony will be taking place. The Mayor's Balcony is located on the second floor of the building, overlooking the Grand Staircase and the Rotunda. Please note there is limited seating, but there will be plenty of standing room.

3pm: Ceremony concludes. Family photos to follow.

3:05pm: Optional Party Bus pick up at City Hall. The bus will be located at the Polk Street entrance (also known as 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place). The bus will depart at 3:30pm or when all seats are taken, whichever comes first. Drop off for the Party Bus will be at the reception location at 5pm.

5pm: Reception starts at Sessions at the Presidio.

5:50pm: Guests to take their seats for dinner.

8pm: Dancing starts!

9:30pm: Late Night Snack

11pm: Reception concludes.

What if I don't want to take the bus, or miss the bus to the reception?

No problem! There is a two hour window between the ceremony conclusion and the reception. Feel free to make a pit stop at your hotel, or visit one of our favorite local bars:

Parking?

Sessions at the Presidio: Sessions offers discounted secure underground parking for our guests for a flat fee of $5 (4 hour maximum). To take advantage of this option, please enter the Presidio at the Lombard Gate (Lombard/Lyon) and make a right turn onto Letterman Drive where you will find a security officer.

Please inform the attendant that you are dining with Sessions – then they will direct you accordingly. You will obtain a physical parking receipt which you can then present to your server in order to apply your discount.

Any additional parking over 4 hours is the responsibility of guests to pay on their own using one of the parking kiosk machines in garage or upon exiting.

Taking Uber/Lyft/Waymo to the reception?

Make sure the driver drops you off at Chestnut Street and Lyon Street, as the best access to the entrance of the reception is easier to find from this location.

What's for dinner?

There will be passed appetizers during the cocktail hour. Dinner is a three course meal, and your entree selection will be taken tableside. There will be late night snacks passed during the dance party at approximately 9:30pm.
