Once upon a foggy day in May 2019, amidst the quirky chaos of Bay to Breakers in San Francisco, two souls destined for adventure and love met for the very first time. Chris was casually invited to Katie's apartment by her roommate Allison, a longtime friend of Chris', for a post-race celebratory beer. Little did he know, he would be meeting his forever.

Their first date was a night filled with stars—both literally and figuratively—at Night Life at the Academy of Sciences. Katie started out a bit shy, but after a few tequila cocktails, she found her courage, and quite naturally, heckled the planetarium emcee. This quickly broke the ice, leading to a night full of jokes and laughter. Chris was smitten—this was the beginning of something extraordinary.

Fast forward ten blissful months of dating, Chris and Katie took the plunge and moved in together in February 2020. They were ready for the next chapter, but the universe had a plot twist in store. Just three weeks later, the world shut down. In their cozy studio apartment, they created their own little world, filled with Zoom parties, challenging puzzles, and leisurely walks down Lake Street.

As the days turned into months, they turned lemons into lemonade—embarking on epic road trips across California. From the snowy peaks of Tahoe to the sun-kissed, salt-paved landscapes of Death Valley, their love grew stronger with every mile.

In 2021, with the world slowly opening up, Chris and Katie upgraded their apartment. This new space came with a backyard begging for some furry love. Enter Farley, their adorable Fur Baby, who brought even more joy and chaos into their lives.

July 4, 2023, marked a monumental day in their love story. Chris, with a little help from his future in-laws, planned the ultimate surprise. Floating somewhere between the enchanting Tea House and Vikingsholm Castle in Emerald Bay Lake Tahoe, he got down on one knee and asked Katie to be his forever adventure partner. Spoiler alert: she said yes!

And now, dear friends and family, the story continues. We are over the moon to celebrate our love and create more unforgettable memories with all of you.
