The Day AfterWe’ll be heading to the 29th Street Beach in Avalon for a beach day. All are welcome to join! Please note: Beach tags are required in Avalon, so please plan to bring one or purchase one day-of.

We highly recommend booking your stay as soon as possible - the area is a popular beach destination during the summer and places fill up so quickly! We recommend staying within 25 minutes of the venue. This would include Cape May Court House, Avalon, Stone Harbor, Sea Isle City, Ocean City, Wildwood, or Cape May.

Each town offers a variety of small hotels, inns, motels, and rentals available on sites like Airbnb and Vrbo. We've included some travel suggestions below. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need additional suggestions!

Katie and Matt started out as best friends in high school, although Matt definitely had feelings from the start. He'll tell you he knew exactly what he wanted and that persistence was key. She called it the friend zone, he called it the long game. Tomato, tomahto. Now, over a decade later, they live in their tiny apartment in Philadelphia that has just enough room for them and their dog, Marvel. On Christmas Eve in 2023, when they were out walking the dog and looking at Christmas lights, Matt proposed on Katie's favorite street in the city.Fun fact: Rumor has it that there exists a photo of the two of them standing in their kindergarten lines on the very first day of school. No one’s been able to find it but the story still holds and maybe it all started there.
