Knowing our guests, we anticipate this being the most popular activity! There are hundreds of wineries in Provence but those listed below are all within 15 minutes of Cotignac.
Further afield are the wineries of some famous Rose names - Domaine Ott and Chateau D’Esclans.
The tasting room for the award winning Mirabeau is in the heart of Cotignac for this all rose winery. South London founders Jeany and Stephen Cronk's are committed to Mirabeau's eco-credentials; moving beyond organic farming practices, they've adopted a regenerative-agriculture approach that supports a naturally thriving ecosystem - alpacas and sheep graze between the vines - and helps re-nourish the soil. If one of its four pale, vegan rosés don't take your fancy, try the botanical dry rosé gin.
Located just outside Cotignac, Chateau Carpe Diem is an organic winery producing white, rosé and red wines labeled AOP Côtes de Provence, AOP Coteaux Varois en Provence and IGP Var.
Just north of Cotignac, this organic winery specialises in rose and red wines. In addition to its wines, the cellar of Château La Calisse offers its visitors a quality olive oil and a lavender essential oil.
Domaine Aspras is located just outside the town of Correns, approx. 20 mins from Cotignac. Aspras produces fruity red wines and lively white and rosé wines. They host tours of the winery, as well as tastings accompanied by local produce.

Discover the beautiful Lac Sainte-Croix and Verdon Gorges by foot, bike, canoe, boat or horseback. For our adventurous friends there is also bungee jumping (a much better location than a car park in Greece, which was the chosen location of a 17 year old Katie!)
Explore the beautiful Provencal countryside by foot, bike or horse!
Towering an incredible 80 metres above ground this rock face is home to numerous crevices and cave dwellings.
At some point during the last two million years, the River Cassole flowed over the rock face and formed the petrified waterfalls and cave dwellings that attract visitors to the site today. Originally the village was situated right at the base of this huge waterfall so these caves served as shelters for both residents and their animals. However, in more recent years the river was diverted so that it now turns to the east of the village and flows into the Argens.
The rock face is 400m wide but there is a short, steep (and pretty hairy!) climb through some of the grottos to the top where you will find a splendid viewpoint over the village and surrounding area near the Saracen Towers ("les tours arrasines").
