When in Fort Worth Texas, lean in to the cowboy!

Fort Worth Herd Twice-Daily Cattle Drive: Watch legendary Texas Longhorns parade down East Exchange Ave twice daily—at 11:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.. The drive takes about 8 minutes. Great photo op and really fun. The surrounding areas have tons of great restaurants, bars, and shopping. Fort Worth+3Stockyards+3Fort Worth+3

For something more “behind the scenes,” there’s a Fort Worth Herd Experience (Fri-Sun, 1:30-2:30 p.m.) behind the Livestock Exchange Building where guests can learn more about the history and see some of the operations.

The Stockyards are always a favorite with options ranging from classic steakhouses like Cattlemen’s and H3 Ranch to modern spots such as 97 West Kitchen & Bar at Hotel Drover. For something a little more lively, Paloma Suerte serves vibrant Tex-Mex in Mule Alley, and nearby breweries and saloons make for a fun night out. If you’d like to branch out further, Sundance Square in downtown Fort Worth offers a mix of upscale dining, rooftop bars, and live entertainment.
