WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
The dress code for our wedding is formal attire. Ladies should wear cocktail or floor length dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie.
WHAT IS A NEW ORLEANS STYLE RECEPTION?
New Orleans receptions are typically not seated dinners, but consist of heavy passed items at the start of the reception, open action stations with emphasis on lots of food options, lots of beverages, and a highly dynamic and social atmosphere that allows guests to move freely about the reception space. Seating is left open for guests to choose their own seats and tables. The bride and groom have their first dance near the beginning of their reception, opening the dance floor immediately for the guests' enjoyment, and to take full advantage of the hired entertainment.
WHAT IS A SECOND LINE PARADE?
One of the most popular traditions during New Orleans weddings is the famous second line parade. At a wedding, a second line signifies the start of a new beginning of life for the bride and groom. A Brass band leads the bridal party and the guests from the ceremony to the reception venue or it may take place at the reception itself. A second line parade has two parts. The first line is usually a brass band and the ones being honored, the newlyweds. The newly married couple leads the second line holding decorated umbrellas or parasols. All of the guests who want to join in the celebration make up the second line. The guests form a line behind the band and the newly married couple dance to music with handkerchiefs or cocktail napkins in hand!

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. IS THERE PARKING AT THE VENUE?
Yes. There is parking available in the venue's parking lot (directly adjacent), on St Charles Ave (in front of the venue), and on surrounding neighborhood streets.
