Hyde Park, NY, May 2022. Tim and Katie met in December 2021 after a successful Hinge swipe and our first date was at the Columbia grad school bar, Arts and Crafts. Katie and Tim dislike being in photos more than most people so it's a miracle we convinced ourselves to take a selfie only six months in.

Portland, ME, July 2022. In the summer we took our first long weekend trip with good friends Anna, Sam, Emily, Matt, Mattos, and Kwan.

Preikestolen, NO, Aug 2022. In August we went to Norway, a top destination for Tim to reconnect to his Scandinavian roots. We explored fjords, ate reindeer, hiked mountains, and drove our first EV!

Routeburn Track, NZ, Mar 2023. We visited Oceania for the first time after a veeeery long flight from NYC. We explored both the North and South islands, hiking several trails, visiting Hobbiton (from Lord of the Rings), learning about Maori culture, and successfully driving on the left side of the road without crashing.

Seattle, WA, May 2023. We returned to Tim's home town of Seattle to celebrate Tim's good friends from high school Arthur and Prachi at their wedding. This was the first time Katie got to see Tim in a suit!

Troy, NY, Oct 2023. After several months of discussion and searching, we were recommended our sweet boy Kona by his foster mom. After a fall weekend getaway upstate we drove to Troy and met Kona, who we immediately fell in love with and decided to take home then and there. Kona is both Tim and Katie's first ever dog.

Beacon, NY, May 2024. As a family we participated in ARF Beacon's Dog and Human 5K fundraiser. Kona tried his very best on his little legs and only had to be carried about 1/2 mile near the end (seen here). We came in dead last in 1:15:57, but there were still plenty of people and pups to cheer us on at the finish line.

New York, NY, May 2024. After six grueling years, Tim completed his PhD at Columbia and his family came to celebrate in NYC (dad Judson, brother John, mom Cathy). We were so excited to celebrate this achievement and his new appointment as Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Harvey Mudd College in Claremont, CA.

Grimentz, CH, Jul 2024. Katie's favorite summer activity is to spend a week hiking village to village in the Alps. On her third go-around she wanted to share this adventure with Tim, and they hiked 45 miles of the Haute route from Arolla to Zermatt in Switzerland.

Niagara Falls, ON, Sep 2024. On Memorial Day Weekend we took a road trip to Canada to celebrate the wedding of Nathan and Laura. This was the first time for both of us at Niagara Falls, and we can confirm view from the Canadian side is better!

Tokyo, JP, Mar 2025. Katie was so excited to travel to Asia for the first time, and couldn't wait to explore Japan. In 10 days we visited Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka with a few stops in between. We sampled so much delicious food, took several Shinkansen (bullet train) rides, stayed on tatami and spoke broken Japanese/English while watching the LA Dodgers play in Tokyo with a charming older couple in their small town homestay, and visited several temples and historic sites. Japan is a must see!

Shelburne, VT, Jun 2025. The Sheehan family came together for a week in Vermont to celebrate the love of Katie's grandparents Pat and Jerry who have been married for 60 years and counting! This was also the week that Tim and Katie got engaged, and it was nephew Liam's first family trip.

St. Augustine, FL, Dec 2025. In December the whole Sheehan-Haberstock family descended on St. Augustine to celebrate the wedding of Katie's first cousin Larry and his wife Heather. Left to right: brother Michael, sister-in-law Gabby, mom Nancy, dad Kevin. Missing: nephew Liam!
