Sleepy Hollow Inn
For the wedding party and some immediate family members, there is the Sleepy Hollow Inn that is located on the grounds of the wedding venue. There are very limited spaces so those for whom the inn is reserved will be notified directly. Breakfast and other meals while there will all be provided. A contribution will be requested to cover the cost of the rooms (will be discussed individually).
Weather
Vermont is a gorgeous state! From its majestic Green Mountains, beautiful lakes, rivers and forests, Vermont is filled with stunning nature everywhere you look. It is world famous for its vibrant foliage in the fall, but winter is also a wonderful season to visit. Since the wedding is December 6th and still early in the winter, there may or may not be snow on the ground. If there is, it will make for a magical setting for the wedding, but it does come with some challenges when it comes to driving if people are not used to it.
Rental cars should come with snow tires and may include chains that can be put on if there is a lot of snow on smaller back roads (please check with your chosen rental car company). Most major roads / highways will be well plowed and sanded / salted to make driving very reasonable. But smaller back roads aren’t always as well maintained. Please be sure to drive slowly and with caution as there can be ice that isn’t always visible.
Average temperatures for Vermont in early December are somewhere between 25-35F. Be sure to pack a warm coat, boots or booties, a scarf, hat & gloves.
