Check in
Check in begins at 2pm on Friday. We highly recommend checking in by 4pm so that everyone can settle before enjoying the welcome bbq that evening.
When you arrive, please come to Reception and check the rooming list for your type of accommodation and room number. You will be given welcome information with a map. It is important you have a copy of this for rules of the venue and property. You can then park your vehicle in the appropriate area for your accommodation.
Check out
On Sunday, check out is 12pm
Friday welcome bbq
Our Friday night welcome bbq begins at 5pm. Seeing as we have so many talented friends, we couldn’t resist putting on a little show! It is a festival after all! Please let us know if you want to perform a song at our open mic night and send through what you’re gonna do so we can write it down for Tess, who is our amazing MC :) We have a limited amount of spots to fill, so let us know asap.
Some wine and beer will be provided on Friday but guests are invited to BYO anything they may fancy. There will be a couple of eskies to keep drinks cold.
Brrrrr it’s cold in here!
Please pack a jumper/jacket as it may be slightly warm during the day if there is sun, however it is likely to get quite cold at night.
Meals at Midginbil
As you all know, we care deeply about animals and so we will have an amazing selection of vegan and vegetarian food for you to enjoy over the weekend.
The ceremony site
Access to our ceremony site is from a neighbouring property (a short 5 min drive from the lodge). There will be signs out the front and the gate will be open. We recommend that guests carpool from the lodge carpark to minimise the amount of cars going up to the hill (and to utilise the big sturdy cars). We can organise carpooling on Friday night.
Reception
As the venue is in a rural area, the reception is pretty patchy and likely non-existent for most phone carriers (apparently Telstra gets some reception) so make sure you have the directions to Midginbil Eco Resort saved on your phone. We are really excited to turn off ours phones for a few days and soak in the beautiful surrounds of Bundjalung country.
Wishing well
For those wishing to give us a gift, there will be a wishing well for cards at the reception on Saturday.
