FAQs

We've never planned a wedding before, so we might be missing something! If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to reach out: katie.and.ted.wedding@gmail.com

What is the dress code?

This event is semi-formal. Gentlemen, think jacket & tie, not tuxes. Ladies, think midi/maxi dresses over gowns. Please note that both the ceremony and reception will be held outdoors, weather permitting, so we recommend against stilettos. Also, while we may be in the summer months, the wedding will be in Vermont so we recommend bringing a light jacket or shawl to the reception. I'm coming to the Friday and Sunday events, what should I wear?

We are hoping for Friday and Sunday's events to feel more casual. Some ideas include a sundress, shorts, or a button-down shirt. For Friday, we encourage funky prints or bold colors :)

What color will the wedding party be wearing?

Our wedding party will be wearing light blue. However, you are still welcome to wear light blue if you'd like! We only ask that you avoid wearing white.

Do I need to RSVP?

Yes, please RSVP for all of our weekend events as soon as possible. This will help ensure we have enough seating and food for everyone during this exciting weekend! If you already know that you won't be able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible.

Can I bring a date?

This wedding is a small and intimate affair with only our closest friends & family. As such, we've put a lot of thought into who we want to see on our big day. We have elected to not give 'plus ones' and ask that you only RSVP on behalf of & bring those expressly named on your invitation. If you're invitation is addressed to '& family' that means that your adult children have also been invited to our wedding. We ask that you please RSVP on behalf of your entire immediate family.

Are kids invited?

We love your kids and we are happy to have them at the Welcome Party and the Brunch. However, the wedding and reception will be an adults only affair. There are several babysitters available at the Woodstock Inn for all wedding guests should you need one on Saturday! We are happy to send their list of recommended babysitters upon request.

Is there a shuttle to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Yes, check out our Events page for all the info you need. There will also be parking on site if you prefer to drive yourself.

Are all of the wedding events nearby?

Yes! Ceremony, cocktails, reception, after party, and brunch all take place on/next to the Woodstock Inn property. Friday's welcome event will take place just a 5 minute drive down the road. Shuttle service will be provided for Friday's event.

Financial Considerations

We consider all guests a close part of our life and would love your attendance on our big day. If anyone has any financial constraints please reach out confidentially to Katie or Ted with questions. We have a few work-arounds we can offer to decrease cost.
