Woodstock has access to multiple hiking trails from the Appalachian Trail to the National Park Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller Park. Review your hiking options from flat to mountain submits:
- Mt. Peg Trail-multiple entryways, longer or short with a beautiful summit view.
- Ottauquechee River Trail-Flat trail along the river is great for less impact.
- Eshqua Bog Natural Area-a site when in bloom, leisurely and flat.
- The Appalachian Trail-back country trek for experienced hikers.
- Mt. Tom Trail-multiple entryways, steep in certain areas, and a beautiful village view at the summit.
- Aqueduct Trails (West Woodstock)-multiple connections through beautiful trains in West Woodstock.
- Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park (Woodstock Village)- The National Park, with leisurely to intense trails and access to The Pouge.

Known as 'Vermont's Little Grand Canyon' the Quechee Gorge is 165 ft deep, the deepest in Vermont. Enjoy stunning views 168 feet from the bridge above the Ottaquechee River, have a picnic overlooking the waterfalls, or go swimming in the gorge itself!
For more active groups enjoy hiking or walking the trails along the mile-long chasm. Quechee Gorge Village, 25,000 Gifts and the Quechee State Park are located within walking distance of the Gorge.
This local brewery offers an amazing selection of craft beers + ciders. This location also boasts a full on-site restaurant, river floats down the Connecticut River, an outdoor art installment, and local artisanal cheese and snack shops.
If you need a quick stop-off before events, we highly recommend this small Alpaca farm. You will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with very friendly rescue alpacas. Right next door you can also find a cute beer garden, a Cabot cheese station, and an antique mall!
