Kate and Devon met in August of 2012 at Red Land High School when they were both Seniors. What started as a friendship blossomed quickly into their long 10 year partnership. Devon asked Kate on New Year's day of 2013 if she wanted to be her girlfriend. In true lesbian fashion Devon moved in with Kate after a month of dating. After 5 years of dating, Devon decided it was time to pop the question and purposed to Kate on July 4th, 2018, on the beach in Ocean City, Maryland surrounded by close family and friends. A year later, April of 2019 Kate and Devon closed on their first home together.

Even though the relationship started with Devon and Kate, one of the best relationships that started was that of Joshua and Kate's. Joshua was only a year and a half when Kate entered into his life. Anyone who knows Kate and Josh, know that they are thick as thieves. From the very beginning Kate had no doubt in her mind that Joshua was hers. After 7 years of being a constant in Josh's life, she asked him if he would like to be adopted. Josh without hesitation said "Yes!", and in September of 2020 the judge, sign, sealed and delivered their request! So, the ongoing joke after the adoption is that Devon is the only one in the house without the same last name! I'm sure you can imagine Devon is more than ready to tie the knot and change her last name!

Kate and Devon could not be more excited for the big day to come and to be sharing it with their closest family and friends!
