One of the best things about New Orleans is of course, the food! You can literally go into any place in the city, be it a hole in the wall, or the fanciest of fancy dining spots, and you will have some of the best food of your life. go exploring!

Here are some of Katy's favorite places to grab some eats:

Felix's Restaurant & Oyster bar: This is an oyster bar right across from the famous Acme Oyster house off Bourbon St., but it's much less crowded and just as good! Get the chargrilled oysters, seriously. Get them.

Mother's Restaurant: This is an institution for Po'Boys, New Orleans' claim to sandwich fame. Get the Debris Po'Boy (reeeeally good roast beef), or ANY Po'Boy, and the bread pudding here is also delicious. Everything here is good, you can't go wrong!

Katie's Restaurant & Bar: Besides the name (even though it's spelled wrong), this is a great place for Sunday brunch before you leave town, or any other meal you want!

Brennan's: This brunch/breakfast place.. seriously, it's a New Orleans institution that you HAVE to experience! It's incredibly beautiful inside, and has a million different rooms and atmospheres for you to walk around in, including a Mardi Gras museum in the back! You need to get the brandy milk punch (a New Orleans staple) to start your day off, and my favorite dishes are the turtle soup (I know it sounds weird but its SO. GOOD.), the Eggs Sardou, and of course, Bananas Foster to end it (this dessert was created at Brennan's!)

Commander's Palace: Ok so this is an option if you want to treat yo' self. It's expensive, but it's one of the best restaurants in New Orleans, for any meal of the day! The bread pudding souffle alone is worth going for!

Remoulade: So this is the more casual side of the famous Arnaud's fancy restaurant, it's right on bourbon, so a perfect place to stop in when you need some food in your booze-filled-belly. GET THE BBQ SHRIMP!! This is not the typical bbq sauce-soaked shrimp as you may be imagining, but it's a New Orleans style of a butter-based sauce with tons of spices, and get all the bread you can to soak up all the sauce, trust me.

Court of Two Sisters: This is a great place for a Jazz Brunch! It's a buffet style, beautiful brunch that features live Jazz and optional courtyard seating.
