Embark on a 3-hour tour that educates you on the rich history of Fairbanks. Along the Chena River, on an authentic steamboat, witness a live bush pilot and sled dog demonstration, and experience the traditional lifestyle of early Athabascan people.
Off mile 60 on the Chena Hot Springs road. Hikes can range from 4-9miles. Plan to stop at the Chena Hot Springs resort afterwards for a nice soak.

If you're down to gold pan, this is the place. Buy and bag ranging from $20-500+ and strike for gold. Dig dirt is free to pan.

If you are out in North Pole visit the Knotty Shop as well they have the best icecream!
Great walks in the woods, don't forget your bug spray. Will see many sandhill cranes.
