Our Love Story

"We met.. there were fireworks, babies stopped crying, wars stopped warring. All was right in the world. and here we are today." - Andrew Scavo

Katy and Andrew met the modern way: by swiping right on a dating app (swoon!) in 2020. To be more specific - on every dating app. See, Katy could only focus on one app at a time and thankfully Andrew is extremely persistent. Every time they finally matched, it would be when Katy moved on to the next app until it finally came full circle (on Tinder of all places). If you know Katy, you know how much she loves breakfast burritos. Their first conversation consisted of Andrew showing his breakfast burrito making skills, which is really what sealed the deal (so Katy says).

Their first date was at CJ's Upper Deck in Waterford. It was pretty normal as first dates go, other than the fact that Katy was so nervous she ate 3 bites of food and didn't order a drink in case Andrew insisted on paying and she didn't want her meal to be too expensive. Andrew thought it was really weird, and he reminds her every time the memory comes up - so don't worry, it's an unforgettable story. But good news, it worked like a charm because now you're sitting there reading this story as we anticipate another unforgettable day.

Andrew's proposal was perfect in every way. Katy had planned to go into a jewelry store that her friend Brenda worked at to get matching bracelets with her mom for Mother's Day. Andrew went to the jewelry store prior to that day to ask Brenda to get some intel on what Katy liked and her ring size. Their plan worked perfectly, and Katy didn't suspect a thing. On the day of the proposal, Katy, Andrew and their families headed out to dinner to celebrate Andrew's dad and stepmom's anniversary, but little did Katy know, there was a different plan. After dinner everyone walked out onto a bridge where Andrew

asked if they could take a hardstyle photo together (which is their signature pose for photography). Once the photo was taken, Katy stood up and Andrew didn't - and he asked her to spend forever with him. A lot of planning and one yes + a happy dance later - they were engaged.

Some of Katy and Andrew's favorite moments together so far: all of them.
