Our Story? Where do we even begin...

In Kayla's words...

Deep and I met at Bentley University sometime around 2009/2010. We were typical college friends, hanging out at dorm parties, chilling on the greenspace and occasionally running into each other at Skellig. Over the years, our friendship deepened as we created tons of memories and experiences together; traveling all over the world (Thailand, Bali &amp; India), danced at more shows than I can even count (all over the US and in other countries), and even living together for a month or so (Deep slept on my couch!). Deep became my best guy friend and every time we were together, we had the absolute best time giggling over each others' jokes and just being silly lil groovy babies. I knew I could always call him when I was feeling sad or needed advice or a solid Deep lecture. It all changed when we went to Denver for my birthday in May 2023. We were seeing my favorite DJ, John Summit at Red Rocks; it was pouring down rain, but we were having the time of our lives! The way he looked at me while helping adjust my bucket hat out of my eyes, was a look I'd never seen from my friend Deep before. Does Deep like me as more than a friend? Over the next few months, Deep continued to show his interest; asking me out on dates, asking me to come to NYC for various shows and events and even inviting me to Italy as a plus one for a trip he had planned with some friends. We talked every single day from the Denver trip in May until I went to Italy with him in August. I noticed my feelings were also beginning to change. Did I like Deep as more than a friend? Going to Italy was the best decision I ever made! We had our first date and first kiss in Italy and I quickly realized that this was something beyond special that I had never experienced before. I was in love with my best friend, Deep. The rest is history. The future is so exciting and I know will continue to be so full of love and laughter and experiencing life to the absolute fullest with my best friend by my side.

In Deep's words...

I have had a front row seat of Kayla's life from the inception of our friendship to our budding love that will make her my future wife. It's a story written in the stars, aligned at the right time and at the right place. Our decades long friendship gave us a foundational support for a romantic relationship to co-exist and blossom into this magical event that will take place in May 2026.   With each story, there's a different point of view of how things went down (still to this day hotly debated). Kayla invited me to a John Summit concert at Red Rocks for her birthday. As we had travelled and went to shows together like this many times before, I thought nothing of it. It was another bucket list item to check off while seeing a DJ we both loved. The pouring rain made it a miserable experience until my mind set shifted to enjoy the moment and the company around me. I remember (barely) fixing Kayla’s hat and could have sworn she was going in for a kiss. I did not know how to react or what to think. The more I debated was this accidental or .... maybe something more?   After we got back from the trip, there were feelings starting to brew and I connected with a few of my friends for advice. I wanted to make sure this was something more than just a thought in my head. I asked her to go to Italy with me and we had our first official date in Rome out of all places. That trip is a time stamp in our life of where our platonic friendship ended and something even better officially started and we haven't looked back.   Life throws many obstacles on a day to day basis, I couldn't imagine doing it without her. Her constant cackling and obnoxious noises will never get old to me; it’s become a staple in our house. When she isn't here I remind myself how lucky I am and how empty my heart would be without her.

Date: Sunday, May 24, 2026Time: 9:30am - 1:30pmLocation: Mata Sahib Kaur Gurdwara Temple Event #1: Bharaat (begins at 9:30am)Join the Groom as he dances and celebrates his way to the wedding venue.*If you're part of the groom's side, come ready to dance your way in!*If you're with the bride’s side, be ready to welcome the party with open arms and big smiles. Event #2: Sikh Wedding Ceremony (begins at 11am)We are honored to celebrate our love through the traditional Anand Karaj, the Sikh wedding ceremony, which translates to “Blissful Union.” The ceremony is about 45 mins in length. Lunch will be served after the ceremony. Events #3: Lunch (begins after wedding ceremony) Attire: Semi-Formal Wedding*Guests must have shoulders, ankles and heads covered while inside the temple

Our wedding weekend includes multiple events. Due to venue capacity and planning considerations, attendance is limited to those who have received an invitation to each event.
