At just about three years apart, Maggie and Kayla grew up with a very special bond. Their favorite times together include playing dress up, filming home videos, choreographing dances, playing sports, especially basketball, Irish dancing, and putting on a variety of plays that their mom graciously watched but very much didn’t enjoy. On many occasions Maggie would invite herself to play with her older sister and her friends which gave them plenty of opportunities to tease little Maggie (which one could argue that she mostly deserved). Despite all of their similar interests, and even getting engaged to their fiancés a few weeks apart, Maggie and Kayla couldn’t be more different. Maggie lives in Denver while Kayla resides in Chicago. Maggie resembles her dad but Kayla looks more like her mom. Maggie is outgoing, energetic, and has always been a “ham” in front of the camera and Kayla is reserved, quiet, and dislikes being filmed. Maggie is confident, creative, and can draw well while Kayla is modest and likes to use stick figures. Maggie is messy and tends to lose things while Kayla is organized and enjoys doing the dishes. Maggie is a great teacher and enjoys coaching basketball while Kayla is impatient and can’t tolerate disciplining large groups of children. Even though they currently live 900+ miles apart, and can no longer share clothes, Maggie and Kayla have continued to stay very close.

Although Pat is a "few" years older, he prefers to be referred to as Chris's "youngest" brother. But despite their difference in age the two have a bond that has evolved and strengthened over the years. Since Pat cradled his baby brother in his arms for the first time, he has taken an active role as not only an older brother but also a vital mentor especially as it has related to navigating teenage years, selecting a college and pursuing a profession. As the years go by, the two brothers have also continued to discover common interests, whether it is a shared enthusiasm for discussing seemingly random topics like the big bang theory on a cross country road trip to Stanford, working off a filling Thanksgiving dinner by playing craps at the local riverboat casino, or enjoying aged single malt scotch whisky from their father's not so secret stash of fine spirits.

Chris and Conor met in their freshman year at Barrington High School and quickly became good friends through their shared interest in video games and Star Wars (we told you these guys were nerds...). Although, they went their separate ways in college, Chris made numerous trips to Purdue to visit Conor during his 4 years in West Lafayette and they continued to keep in touch on nearly a daily basis until both of them found themselves in Chicago again in 2012. For some time they had discussed living together in the city, so when the opportunity arose in 2013, Conor moved in with Chris. They lived together for 4+ years and in that time had more late night parties, Bears games (read: nap time) from the couch, Guitar Hero sessions and Netflix binges than either of them can count. Unfortunately, the two couldn't be roommates forever - don't worry though, they still live within 2 blocks of each other and never go too long without catching up.
