Durango-La Plata County Airport
The Durango airport (DRO) is the closest airport to the wedding venue, being 41 miles south of Purgatory Ski Resort. The airport is served by United and American Airlines. Denver International Airport
Flights into the Denver International Airport will likely be cheaper in price, as compared to flying into Durango. However, please consider Denver is about 407 miles (roughly 7 hours) from Purgatory Ski Resort. If you are someone who is worried about how the elevation might affect you, we highly recommend flying into Denver to adjust to this elevation first (5280ft elevation) prior to making the trip to Durango (6522ft elevation). If you decide to stay in Denver prior to traveling to Durango, please let us know if you need recommendations. We are happy to help.
Albuquerque International Sunport
Albuquerque International Sunport is 244 miles (roughly 4 hours) from Durango. Renting a car would likely be the easiest way to travel from Albuquerque to Durango, but there are Greyhound buses that travel between these two cities as well.

Purgatory Resort
Purgatory Ski Resort offers lots of lodging options. The options include Purgatory Lodge, Cascade Village, Purgatory Village, Sheol Street Lodging, and townhome/home rentals. Check out the highlights of each below.
Purgatory Lodge/Peregrine Point: located just yards from the lifts and right across from the Plaza. Access to private balconies, pool with slide, game room/lounge, day spa, fitness equipment, private washer/dryer, and a covered parking garage.
Cascade Village: located 2 miles north of Purgatory's main entrance at foot of Engineer Mountain with exceptional mountain views. Access to a private wood-burning fire, outdoor/indoor pool, fitness equipment, game room/arcade, complimentary shuttle service and covered garage parking.
Purgatory Village: located at the base of the mountain, steps away from the Plaza, with a great view of the Needles Mountains. Access to rooftop hot tubs, outdoor pool, laundry facility, nearby fitness center, and garage parking.
Sheol Street Lodging: Located a short walk away from the base of the mountain with alpine scenery. Typically offers more accommodations for larger groups, sleeping 2-8 guests.
Townhomes/homes: Located within miles of the Purgatory Ski Resort. These rentals would require a car to get to/from the base of the Resort. Offers great accommodations for those with larger parties, sleeping 6-13 guests each.
