No trip to Lawrence is complete without a trip to explore KU's beautiful campus. Kayla is a proud alum. Her favorite spots on campus include the Campanile, Potter Lake, Allen Fieldhouse and of course Stauffer-Flint Hall (home of the William Allen White School of Journalism & Mass Communications).
This is a go-to stop for lunch or dinner when Kayla & Tyler make a trip over to Lawrence. Kayla recommends the Barnyard Bash & Tyler is a big fan of the marshmallow dipping sauce for fries.
Free State is a local brewery with a rotating selection of beers year round. Enjoy one of their many beers at the bar during cocktail hour.
Kayla & Tyler enjoy spending their weekends scanning the shelves of area book stores. The Raven is one of their favorites, but The Dusty Bookshelf just up the street is a great option as well.
Merchants is a great spot for brunch, lunch or dinner. Stop in for a bite & then explore all of the great shops that Mass Street has to offer.
This was the location of Kayla & Tyler's first date. While we went to the Olathe location for that date, we love the Lawrence location as well.
Make the drive to Kansas City, Missouri, to take in one of the best views of the City. This is also the spot where Tyler proposed to Kayla. Head just down the hill and visit Union Station.
Boulevard, another local brewery, is a Kansas City staple for a variety of beers. The brewery also offers tours and a gift shop to find some local swag.
Can you tell that we love a good ice cream date? We often make the short drive to Eudora to visit this adorable little shop.
