Our story begins in preschool! We attended the same one. This is when our parents met as well. (This is not the exact date but its the right year).

Erik and I were very active in high school. He played football, golf and was in percussion, and I was a cheerleader who played alto saxophone. Although we were in the same band class and had mutual family friends, we never really talked to each other.

Years later, Erik reached out to me on Instagram. We talked back and forth for a little that day, and then I got off Instagram and didn't go on again till later in the week. I ended up giving him my number and Snapchat so I wouldn't miss a message from him again. From there we talked every day and really got to know each other!

Erik and I went on our first date! It was 2020 so our options were very limited. He picked me up at my older sisters house as I was visiting her, my nieces and nephew. He got out of his truck and met me in the middle of the driveway and gave me the biggest hug. I think we both will always remember that moment. We started off at the mall, made our way to Cabela's and then we ended up walking on a trail in a random park. This date made us both realize we had real feelings for each other, and we talked about going on future dates!

We officially became boyfriend and girlfriend!

It didn't take us very long to realize this relationship was different (in a good way). We are each other's best friend and are able to communicate anything and everything to each other. Erik gave me a promise ring on Christmas. He promised to take care of me and be the best man that he could be. He promised to love me and always support me. We were both extremely happy. We took this picture on our way to Leavenworth the next day!

We celebrated our 1 year together! Things were getting really serious with us and we both knew that this was it.

The best day of our lives. Erik asked me to spend the rest of my life with him on his 21st birthday camping trip. He planned months in advance and already had the ring, he even asked my parents for permission. The proposal was perfect our family and friends were there, and it was at his parent's property (which is a very special place for us). I was in crocs and had three sweatshirts on, no makeup, and was in a hat and bun. I didn't suspect a thing and the whole day was perfect. I'm so excited to marry my person. After knowing each other for so long, it's crazy that we ended up together. Now lets go get married!
