Cody and Kaylee met at a Halloween party on the night of October 28th, 2017. Kaylee was dressed as Harley Quinn and came to the party with a group of coworkers. Cody was dressed as a cop and had come with his friends. Though the two noticed each other they were too busy mingling in separate groups to introduce themselves. Finally a mutual friend of theirs pulled Kaylee aside and insisted that she wanted Kaylee to meet a guy she thought would be perfect for her. That guy was Cody. After their initial meeting the two were inseparable. On November 19th Cody asked Kaylee to be his girlfriend.

Kaylee and Cody have both said that they have never had a relationship that was so easy and felt so right from the beginning. They were both happiest when they were with each other. Cody became Kaylee’s rock as she applied and was accepted into Physical Therapy School. He continues to be her biggest cheerleader as she now prepares to take her Licensure exam and begins her career as a Physical Therapist. They moved in together in July of 2019 where they built a home together with their two dogs Pogo and Tucker.

On May 23rd, 2020 Kaylee and Cody were staying in Cambria and decided to pack a picnic lunch and take the dogs down to the beach. After laying out their blanket the two laid down in the sun. Cody turned to Kaylee and asked if she wanted to be with him forever. When she said yes Cody asked her to stand up. As she did he pulled out a ring and asked her to marry him. Of course she said yes. Now Kaylee and Cody eagerly look forward to their big day and can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives with each other. As Kaylee has stated: I’m so lucky to be marrying my best friend.
