The countdown is on! We’re so excited to celebrate with you soon!
Their story began in November 2018 at Publix, where she worked as a cashier. One day, Brian came through her line to buy cookies. As she asked him if he wanted a bag for his cookies, he cheekily replied, “Only if your number comes with it.” In exchange for saving on plastic, she gave him her number.
Brian later confessed that he had seen her in the store two weeks prior but had chickened out of talking to her. This time, he gathered the courage, and it paid off! Nearly seven years later, they are getting married.
Their first conversation was nerve-wracking for both of them. Despite her nerves, she liked him enough to make an exception and give him her number, a first for her. She vividly remembers exchanging contacts to “save” a plastic bag, but the truth was, she just wanted an excuse to talk to him again.
After that first meeting, they were both nervous but excited. Their conversations flowed easily over text, and they couldn’t wait to see each other again. Even though they were young and anxious, there was an undeniable connection that eventually led them to where they are today.
Brian proposed to her on December 4, 2022, atop Camelback Mountain in Arizona. Every year on their anniversary, they climb a mountain to watch the sunrise, and this year was no different, except it was. After a strenuous climb, they reached the top by sunrise and spent about an hour soaking in the breathtaking views.
Brian had meticulously planned the trip and proposal in Arizona. As they stood together at the peak, he got down on one knee. After he asked, “Will you marry me?” she stood there smiling, unable to speak. Breaking the silence with humor, he asked, “Are you going to answer me?” They both laughed, and it was a moment perfectly captured by a drone they had brought along to document their hike.
It was a private and intimate moment, just the two of them. The spontaneity of their laughter, the breathtaking view, and the drone capturing the proposal from above made it a day they will never forget.
is yet to begin!
