Rocky Mountain National Park (Estes Park, CO)

Timed Entry Permits are required May-October: https://www.recreation.gov/timed-entry/10086910


Park Access Timed Entry Permits are required to enter Rocky Mountain National Park between the hours of 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. MDT. After entering the park with your Park Access Timed Entry Permit, visitors may exit and re-enter the park at any time between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. With a Park Access Timed Entry Permit, access to the Bear Lake Road Corridor is excluded.


Park Access+ Timed Entry Permits include access to destinations located along the Bear Lake Road Corridor, as well as all other areas of Rocky Mountain National Park. These timed entry permits are required to enter the Bear Lake Road Corridor between the hours of 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. MDT.

Devil's Backbone (Loveland, CO)

Located West of Loveland, this trail contains many interconnected loops ranging from a 1-mile out and back to a 6 mile loop. Almost no shade available, so please pack water.

Horsetooth Falls & Horsetooth Rock (Fort Collins, CO)

Horsetooth Falls is a 2.9-mile loop trail that is just west of Fort Collins. It goes to some beautiful waterfalls that should have plenty of runoff in May. Horsetooth Rock is a 6-mile loop trail that goes by the falls and looks out over the larger Fort Collins area via a climb up Horsetooth Rock.
