Our Wedding

Keisha and Matthew met in 2023, while Matt was enrolled at Depot in Regina, SK. Matt was fulfilling his life long dream of becoming an RCMP Member. Matt was just entering his last two weeks in Regina when Keisha swiped right.As fate would have it , they met for the first time at a Saskatchewan Rough Rider's game. Their connection was strong, and they both knew it.Matt asked Keisha out the next day , for their first date at The TAP, where they shared an afternoon together , which turned into a two-week long love story.At the end of Matt's time at Depot, he had been posted to Fort Vermilion, Alberta . Which unfortunately was not just down the street from Keisha's residence. They decided to take the next step and try long distance, and it wasn't long before Keisha's new home away from home, was also up in Fort Vermilion.Keisha made the move in October of 2023, and they could not be more happy. Along with Keisha also came her loving companion, her fur-baby Kitahna. A great big Saint Bernard with the soul of a gentle giant.It only took Matt and Keisha two months up North before they decided that Kitahna needed a sibling. They trecked off to La Crete, AB, and picked up little Finnegan. Small but mighty, Finnegan had no issues at all settling in.Fast forward to January of 2025, Matt did what Keisha had hoped for since the day they met. They took a weeekend getaway to Banff, Ab, where Matt asked the big question. And of course, Keisha said YES.Life could not have been more exciting.. Until July of 2025 when Matt and Keisha brought home their 3rd fur-baby. A Golden named Sunnie who brought so much joy to their now family of 5.Maybe by chance, but they think it was just meant to be. Keisha and Matt made Fort Vermilion their temporary home. They can not wait for what the future holds, and to see where this magical journey will take them.

We do have a couple close little ones who will be apart of our Wedding Ceremony, so please do not be offended when you do see children in attendance. Things to Do

Guest arrival;Due to the setup of our Venue site, please arrive no sooner than 2:30PM.

Parking and Shuttle Service;The Venue site can hold 60 parking spots for guests.Vehicle's may be left over night, and picked up the next day by 11AM. Arrow Limousine has been booked to transfer guests into Red Deer and possibly a hotel in Sylvan Lake after the wedding. This will be confirmed closer to , when numbers are confirmed.Address drop off will be in same vicinity as the recommended hotels.

Please take note;The ceremony location is mostly grass . It will be important to base your foot attire around this fact.

Gifts; As per our own personal preference we have decided to not register with any specific organization. Celebrating our special day with you is the greatest joy and your love and support mean the world to us. If you're considering a gift, we would be honoured if you would contribute to our honeymoon fund instead.

Drink pricing;Indoor bar will open at 530PM-1200AM, during this time drink prices will be a donation system. Bring your cash and place what you feel is necessary for each individual drink choice if you so choose to.Outdoor Cocktail hour will run from 330PM-530PM. During this time there will be no charge for drinks.

Haley is Keisha's little sister and life-long friend. It was only appropriate for Haley to step into the Role of MOH when Matt purposed to Keisha, it was as you could say, a no brainer.
Haley and Keisha have always been very close and spend hours upon hours face-timing one another, staying very connected through life.

Kara is Keisha's oldest Cousin, and definitely the protector of the Schmidt Cousins. Kara and Keisha grew up living right down the street from one another and have always had a special bond. Kara is always the life of the party, and her wisdom radiates through her! Emilia, Karas niece, will be apart of Keisha and Matts wedding as a Flower Girl!

Eden and Keisha met through Early Childhood in 2016 and become soul friends the minute they met. Eden has a love for life that can be seen from far and wide. Although their Friendship is long-distance, they always find a way to involve one another in each-others lives.

Kalyan and Keisha met way up North in Fort Vermilion, as both of their significant others are members of the RCMP. Kalyan is a loyal , loving friend. With a passion for helping those around her. 

Kalyan's daughter, Olivia, is also one of Keisha and Matt's Flower Girls!

Chris and Matt have had a long history that started in Hinton, Alberta, where Matt was working as a Sheriff. It was by chance that both of these guys ended up working in Fort Vermilion together. You can find Chris and Matt sharing a funny story, cigar or out by the BBQ feeding their closest friends. 

Keisha and Matt look forward to Chris's presence during their ceremony.

Brayden is Keisha's younger brother! Keisha was blessed to gain Andie as a sister in-law. Brayden and Andie are hard working farmers, who adore their family and friends. Brayden and Andie's oldest son, Traig, is going to be the best Ring Bearer around.

Matt and Dylan met up North while both working for the RCMP. Dylan is one of Matts closest friends, and always has a smile on his face. These two have the best of times when they are in the same area. Never shortage of laughs when the two get together. Dylan and his Fiance Chloe have become a big part of Matt and Keisha's life.

Matty Robbins is Matt's long distance bestie from PEI. When Matt J first moved to Alberta he worked in Jasper, where the two Matt's met while working at the Jasper Park Lodge. Although they live a great distance from one another they always find a way to stay in touch. Even though Matty lives in PEI, he is the only Groomsman who is a born and bred Albertan.

Matt and Brendan met when they were young dudes, and attending College together in Kitchener, Ontario. While talking during first year, Matt and Brendan discovered that both of their fathers worked close with one another. Brendan has been out to Alberta several time to visit Matt and every time it feels like no time has past since the last time they've seen one another

Andrew is Matts oldest brother and confidant.  Once engaged, Andrew was one of the first people to find out that Matt had asked the big question. It was almost immediately that Matt asked Andrew to be his Best Man! Matt and Andrew have always had a close bond and stay connected through their love of Dungeons and Dragons.
