We matched on the dating app Hinge - just one "problem" - Jake lives in Chattanooga and Kelly lives in Atlanta. After texting for a full week, and even face-timing, we decide to meet up for a date half-way between our locations in Cartersville GA. We discover that weirdly, we have the same birthday!

We spend the whole day in Rome GA on our 3rd date and decide to make it "official"

We spend the next couple of months doing long-distance, visiting each other on the weekends.

After a long-weekend in Chattanooga, Kelly's work has gone remote for the pandemic in March 2020, and so she decides to stay in Chattanooga for awhile...

Clementine has already been living in Chattanooga, but in August, a friend rescues a kitten and we adopt her! Now we have Clem & Lily!

Jake leaves is job as a Chemical Engineer to goes back to school for Computer Science! He completes this degree by November 2021, and then its time to job search! Kelly and Jake are both still waiting out the pandemic together in Chattanooga. We love playing Zelda and Animal Crossing, spending time with our cats and drinking lots of coffee

We move back to Atlanta (after 2 years in Chattanooga/waiting out the pandemic). Jake finds a job as a Software Engineer in Alpharetta GA and Kelly returns to the office of her design job in Atlanta. They move to a townhouse in Roswell GA.

Almost 4 years to the day, we get engaged in Rome GA - in the same spot as our 3rd date.

Our precious Lily unexpectedly passes away from a newly discovered heart condition. We are devastated - She was only 3 years old. We miss her everyday.

After 2 years in Roswell, we decide to follow our shared dream of settling down in Chattanooga TN. Amazingly, we are so blessed to be able to buy a home in Chattanooga. Kelly leaves her corporate design job and gets to follow her passion of being an independent artist! Jake is allowed to keep his current job, but work fully remote from TN! We feel so lucky!

We have moved into our new house in Chattanooga, and meet a sweet kitty at the local veterinarians office. 4 month old Lemon is our newest family member! She has a sassy personality like Lily had. It takes about 2 weeks, but Lemon and Clementine become best buds in no time.

We decide to elope in our new hometown, on our shared birthday. We are married in our new house by a close friend, and spend the day taking pictures around Chattanooga.
