Wedding Party

Alex Rouin - Maid of Honor
Heyo friends! I’m Alex!! Kelly and I met on my first day of modified soccer tryouts in the 7th grade right after I moved to Penn Yan. Kelly claims I wore a different tie dyed shirt everyday that week but that didn’t stop her from coming up to me during that first day of practice and saying “Hi I’m Kelly, do you want to come over some time??”. While I was slightly terrified and socially awkward and thought this girl is crazy, I must’ve said yes, because we shortly became inseparable. I know it’s somewhat cliche to say, but the rest is kind of history! From graduating high school, until Kelly moved to Massachusetts, we had always been far apart in distance but always stayed very close in heart. While we only managed to see eachother about every 6 months, every time we met up it felt as though no time had passed. Kelly has been one of the most constant things in my life and I am incredibly grateful to have such an amazing friend like her. We were lucky enough to live in the same state for Kelly’s first 6 months in Foxborough and my last 6 in Boston and it was an unbelievable treat. Whether we end up in the same place down the line or not, I know that we are guaranteed to have our friendship to count on. We have been there for eachother throughout so many stages of life and I cannot wait to see her into this next one. The love in her and Toby’s relationship is contagious and I could not be happier that they found their way to each other. The compassion and support they show to one another even gives me hope for my own future. I am counting down the days until we can celebrate the two of you on your big day!!

Hello party people! I’m Shannon😊 Kelly and I met freshman year at Canisius. We had our first class together and I could tell by her sarcasm and her taste in music that we would be good friends. Some people would say we were attached at the hip freshman year. That wasn’t farfetched. We pulled several all nighters at the library studying. Kelly was the friend who would make study guides for our friend group and I was the one that would force everyone to go out to celebrate after an exam. Like all good friendships, it was about balance. I remember senior year right before Covid hit we were driving around listening to music. We would go back and forth introducing eachother to new songs we liked and I played the song “If the world was ending” by JP Saxe. I asked Kelly who the song made her think of, thinking it would be an ex or a crush…she said Shannon it makes me think of Toby. He’s my best friend. I think that was the moment I realized that he was her person. Three years later and here we are. I could not be happier for these two and their new life together. Kelly and Toby, I wish you endless love and happiness and cannot wait to watch you both say “I Do” on July 6th.

Hi I’m Katie!! I met Kelly while on tour at Canisius- she was my tour guide and needless to say she sold me on the school! When I first got to school I joined a club called C-Block, where Kelly was the Director of Fun (a position she would later pass down to me). Once in the club I knew I wanted to be friends with Kelly. She has the type of personality that everyone wants to be around. Once we became friends it felt like we knew each other our whole lives. She was my big sister (or twin as we like to call each other) on campus offering me advice, watching movies, and even going on C-Block’s big MAAC trip to Albany where it is safe to say we had A LOT of fun together. Throughout our years at Canisius together we had so many times where we would talk about life and the future, no matter where life took us I knew that I knew that I could always call Kelly for anything. She truly is the definition of a the perfect friend. I feel so lucky to have a person like Kelly in my life- everyone deserves to have a Kelly in their life. When Kelly started talking about her “friend” Toby, I knew that he was going to be so much more than that. No one lights up when talking about a “friend” the way she did when she talked about Toby. When she told me that her and Toby started dating and a few years later engaged, I was BEYOND excited and happy. They are a beautiful couple inside and out and I cannot wait to see the amazing life they will continue to build together. Kelly and Toby, I wish you so much love and happiness and am so honored to be apart of your special day. I love you both- now let’s get you married!!!

Hi everyone! Kelly and I are cousins by blood, but have become so much more than that over the years. With our families being close and us only being 5 months apart, we spent many weekends in PY; back on the trail, pumpkin picking at the $1 patch and sledding attached to the 4 wheeler. In middle school I even spent a few weeks with Kelly and her family where we played in the same lacrosse camp. While in high school we both played volleyball, and even had the opportunity to play against each other once! We really reconnected in our later college years and made our transition from not just cousins, but to true friends. Friends that can call each other up anytime for anything. These last several years I don’t know what I’d do without her! It has been so fun growing and going through many of the same life stages together. I am honored and so excited to stand beside Kelly as she marries her person… Toby! Get ready for one heck of a party to celebrate the two of them!

I first met Toby in middle school when his dad came back to Orchard Park to coach for the best team in the NFL. He was assigned to the equally best middle school base, Polaris. It was then that I connected with Toby over our love of soccer and the Buffalo Bills. We solidified our friendship over playing hours and hours of zombies, Minecraft, soccer and pick up football. Some of my best memories have been with Toby and I couldn’t be more excited to be apart of making more with him and Kelly on their big day.

I met Toby in middle school after he joined my soccer team in the middle of the summer. Little did I know we would become best friends in no time playing pickup football, Mario Kart, and soccer together through high school. Even though we went to different colleges and Toby’s gone onto Houston, Oklahoma, and now Boston, we’ve always made sure to stay in touch and visit each other when we have the time. Toby always told me how he and Kelly were best friends while interning together with the Bills and in college, so I wasn’t surprised when I found out they began dating. Kelly has been the best girlfriend and fiancée in the time I’ve got to know her, and I can’t wait to be a part of her and Toby’s special day as being one of Toby’s groomsman!

Toby and I first started hanging out in 8th grade when he moved into town and started playing soccer with us. We all ended up playing soccer or football almost everyday and Toby would always get injured. He instantly became one of the most popular kids in school because everyone loved the guy. He became one of my best friends and one of the best dudes I know. He’d give me the shirt off his back, even though he stole mine at the Morgan Wallen concert. He’s also secretly a fan of my beloved Cleveland Browns. I remember when Toby met Kelly, and would always talk about her even long before they were together. I could see even then they belonged together, and I'm pumped to celebrate with everyone. Love you guys.
