The ceremony will be taking place on the mountaintop (weather permitting). We ask that you please arrive early to allow ample time for scenic 10-15 minute ride on the gondola to the top. Shuttles will start at 2:15pm to both Long Trail House and Black Bear. In the event of rain/high winds, the ceremony will take place inside in the Stratton Mountain Club where the reception will be held.

Yes and no. There is a short walk on a paved gravel path from the top of the gondola to the ceremony deck on the mountaintop. We do recommend wearing comfortable/walkable shoes at least for the ceremony. There will be a golf cart available for those who prefer not to walk. But, please be aware that there are 12 steps leading to the ceremony deck.

The reception will take place at the Stratton Mountain Club. It is located only a few steps away from the gondola.

Yes! There will be buses running all evening to provide transportation to the ceremony, reception and back home at the end of the night. Buses will be picking up from both Black Bear Lodge and Long Trail House. For those staying at Hearthstone, you will be picked up by Long Trail House. The buses will start pickup at 2:15pm and continue throughout the night. It will also make a stop at the after party at the end of the evening. Everything in Stratton village is walkable as well. And there is also some parking available at the Stratton Mountain Club if you prefer to drive.

Yes! Stratton is a very pet friendly location and they are welcome at almost all places within the village. However, keep in mind that Black Bear Lodge is the only pet friendly lodging location. Well-trained furry friends are welcome to attend the ceremony, given they are comfortable being on the enclosed gondola. Unfortunately, pets may not attend the reception.

We are arranging to have a golf outing for those who plan to come up to Vermont early. It will be on Friday, 8/23/24, likely around 11am. Details to be finalized as it gets closer. Please let Andy or Kelly know if you are interested in playing. All skill levels are welcome!
