We first met in middle school but didn't become friends until high school. After figuring out that we liked each other during a game of truth or dare at our high school lock-in freshman year, we started to date. We drifted apart for a while but found our way back to each other. We saw movies all summer before our junior year of high school but didn't make it official until a few weeks before school started. We quickly became each other's best friends and fell in love.

I have a lot of favorite memories over the years but some of the most special ones have been in more recent years. One of them was in 2022 when we were on family vacation in Orlando. We had a free day until dinner so Matt and I decided to go to Universal Studios that day. We arrived at opening and stayed as long as we possibly could. We had so much fun trying to squeeze everything in. Usually that is something that would be so stressful for me but we were just so relaxed with each other. Another recent favorite is the Taylor Swift concert. He dressed up with me, he sang along to every song he knew and he danced with me to the ones he didnt know the words to. My most recent favorite memory is our trip to Disney. Obviously the trip was special because of the proposal, but it was also special for so much more than that. The amount of laughter and positivity on that trip just felt endless. We got to ride every single ride we wanted to except one because it was closed. When it started pouring down rain, we laughed, got ponchos, and carried on. There didnt seem to be anything that could bring us down the entire trip. I cant wait to make even more memories like these throughout our lives. -Kelly


When I think about my favorite memory with Kelly, so many come to mind that it’s hard to pick one. So I decided to pick one from when we first started dating, one from a few years ago, and a more recent one. The first memory is one of the earliest dates I can remember. It was freshman year of high school and we were going to see a movie. While we were walking to our seats, Kelly tripped and fell up the stairs. I just remember laughing together and thinking about how much fun we would have together. The second memory was during a summer trip to Holiday World. While we were in line for a water slide, Kelly told me how much fun she was having and that she felt like a kid in summer again. It made my heart full. My final favorite memory is our most recent trip to Disney. One of my favorite moments of that trip was checking in, knowing I was going to propose that night. It was cool to be able to see everything that we would celebrate our proposal with. I’m grateful to have shared these moments with Kelly and look forward to making lasting memories.

Our proposal took place on December 7, 2023 at Disney Springs in Orlando, Florida. We had been planning this trip almost all year. We had a very early flight that morning. Around 5:30am while we were sitting at our gate, Matt looked over and said "what would you do if I proposed right now?", he pulled the same move later in the day when we arrived at our hotel. Later that night, Matt proposed at the start of dinner. We got to spend the rest of our trip enjoying Disney World with our 'Just Engaged' buttons, making some of the best memories.

By the time our wedding day comes, we will have been together for 8 years!! We're so honored to celebrate our journey and excited to begin this next chapter with you. While there was a part of us that always knew we'd end up here, it's still exciting to have this day arrive. Thank you for all the love and support you've shown us through the years. We love and appreciate you all!
