We know about half of our guests will be traveling from far away - Here are some helpful tips before you get to Ireland (and the Castle on an Island!) but please, feel free at any time to reach out to either of us on anything we can help you with or questions you have before the wedding. On this website you will find everything you need to understand the travel, accommodations, and recommendations we have for the trip. We are so excited for you to have made the journey!

Know Before You Go

NEED TO KNOW

The Island can accommodate everyone in the wedding between the castle itself and the Waterford Island Self-Catering Lodges (see pictures below). We have placed a reserve on the lodges to ensure everyone invited to the wedding has a place to stay on the castle grounds. Reserve a room for yourself or with a group (each lodge sleeps up to 6 people) and be a 3 minute walk away from the castle! Ask Kelly or Dylan if you have any questions. We also have local alternatives that are lovely, and if you are wanting to extend your trip we have provided things to do and places to stay as well!

For those wishing to stay on the castle grounds (and enjoy the many on-site activities as well as the convenience of being where everything exciting is happening), you may book a self-catering Lodge. They are 3 bedroom lodges, each featuring ensuite contemporary bathrooms per bedroom, a living room with TV, kitchen (fridge, oven, stovetop, microwave, and hot water kettle), complimentary WI-FI, and laundry facilities. Lodge guests breakfast options include: make their own breakfast in their lodge, request breakfast in the castle or Clubhouse on the Golf greens (both for a fee), or travel into Waterford for breakfast.

How to Book Your Lodge

Email Gillian O'Dea (event coordinator) at gillianodea@waterfordcastleresort.comor call her at +353 51 878 203 State you are part of Kelly and Dylan's wedding party and list the names of the people staying in your lodge! Payment for lodge will be due upon arrival.

Daily check-in time for a Lodge is 4 PM with check out at 11 AM. Each lodge is €300 for one night, €500 for two nights, and €700 for three nights rate. If you would like to book a lodge with your family or group of friends, please let us know and inform the castle you are booking with the wedding party of Graves/Cassidy for the lodges we have blocked for our wedding guests.
