Kelly & Nik

Emily Haala - Maid of Honor
Emily and Kelly met when they were only six years old the summer before first grade. Kelly may truly be an only child, however growing up with Emily they were more like sisters. The two girls would bike to each other's houses during the summer as kids and as they grew up, played all sorts of sports together. Once it was time for college the distance did not keep these two apart, Emily made a trip to North Dakota at least once a year. Every trip Kelly makes home to this day, there will be a stop at Emily's work just to say hello.
Amanda Roen - Maid of Honor
Amanda and Kelly met in first grade very quickly they became friends. Riding the bus together and always sitting with each other. As kids they had co-birthday parties together. The two took many trips together as well, such as water and amusement parks as kids, and then as they grew up a road trip to Arkansas, a week vacation to the Cayman Islands, a trip to Boston, and hopefully many more to come. Amanda is one of Kelly's role models, so proud of everything she has accomplished. Distance for the both of them, just meant for random long phone conversations and it has kept them close to this day.
Jessica Severson - Maid of Honor
Jessica and Kelly met in third grade playing on the monkey bars one day. The two had the same teacher from third grade all the way to sixth grade. In sixth grade every class gets to vote on whom receives the citizenship award, Jessica and Kelly tied without knowing it. The teacher asked them both who they voted for and they said each other, that year our class was given two citizenship awards. The two kept up their academics as well as playing sports together. Jessica inspires Kelly in many ways of life, how to be a good friend, a good wife, and a good mother. Kelly ran her first half marathon this past June and knows she would not have done it with out the motivation of Jessica. Jessica is the friend that is always there for you.
Amanda Peters - Maid of Honor
Amanda and Kelly met in fifth grade. One day at lunch Amanda had asked to sit with Kelly, Emily, Jessica, Roen, and Kristen, as little kids we huddled around the table and together we decided she could. Kelly was so happy because growing up without Amanda would not have been the same. As the girls grew up they had many crazy adventures together. Amanda and Kelly ran high school track together, it was mainly for fun and to stay in shape, but they had some great times together. Senior year the girls took a trip together with Jessica to California, a walk to the beach or trip down Malibu drive made for the perfect trip. Amanda is one of the most kind hearted person you'll ever meet.
Tayler Hanley - Attendant
Tayler and Kelly met while working in Cincinnati with Allegiant. Very quickly the two became inseparable, spending the night at each other's places, working together, and going on crazy trips together. They realized quickly they are very similar and enjoyed many of the same things. Even now not being able to be together all the time, when they get together they pick up right where they left off. A friendship like there's is rare to find later in life, but so great they have each other.
Jordan Drees - Best Man
Jordan and Nik met in college at the University of North Dakota. It was on the heated battlefield of Counter Strike that their friendship was forged. Nik crouched in a corner and Jordan running around pretending he knew what was going on, it was a match made in heaven. Back in the real world they have shared many adventures together including several trips to Deadwood where they would go skiing/snowboarding and donate their money to the casinos while the ladies used our profits at the watering hole.
Zach Buehl - Groomsman
Zach and Nik met at a point in time that cannot be defined. They knew of each other's great existences through Nik's sister Bethli, but didn't really start hanging out till after senior year of high school. They quickly realized that they both had a love for cars (aka Ferrari's with chrome gated shifter's) and have had several adventures to Road America. They've been known to shoot each other on the paintball field and accidentally go hunting for tornados as well.
Bryon Peterson - Groomsman
Bryon and Nik met while working at Best Buy during college. Bryon was kind enough to take a young, naïve, little boy under his wings and taught him how to sell computers with AOL subscriptions to everyone in the land. Grant would later join the party and the three best friend you ever did have ruled the Best Buy computer world. Bryon and Nik also played many years of softball and other sports together. Their favorite sport though is called drink the beer where they sample many products from local breweries.
Jay Alex Bachmayer - Groomsman
Jay, also known as Alex, and Nik met while playing video games through Jordan. Unlike Jordan, Alex pretty much always knows what's going on while Nik is still couched in a corner somewhere or doing something ridiculous. The two have shared many a Rouge beer night together as well as several trips to Deadwood for skiing and snowboarding. Alex and Nik have fond memories of watching Jordan scorpion himself on his snowboard and having a good laugh. Thank goodness for hot tubs making everyone feel better again.
Grant Sundquist - Usher
Grant and Nik also met at Best Buy. Grant, Bryon, Nik and several others were what was once known as the Best Buy computer sales dream team. Grant is so good at selling that he once sold a nickel to butterfly for a dollar bill. When not at work the two can generally be found causing a ruckus and participating in shenanigans across the land. Either that or trying to give one another atomic wedgies.
Andy Mattfield - Usher
Andy and Nik met while working at Best Buy. The two became friends while rocking out to 80's music that Andy had on these things called vinyl records. The two lived together for the better part of a decade and helped invent games such as Aborigines beer darts and a game called open container (no it doesn't involve drinking and driving). Together they were the whiffle ball champions on the block and ruled the alley behind the house like kings. They lived happily ever after.
Michael Beattie - Usher
Michael and Kelly met in seventh grade. They started talking about their dreams and goals together and found out they both wanted to become pilots. During their senior appreciation assembly, as Kelly walked down the isle she had her dreams and goals read to the auditorium, but to Michael's surprise she updated her goals to become an airline captain before Michael Beattie. The laugh of Michael's mom rang throughout the auditorium. The two stayed close during college, Kelly flying to Florida and Michael flying to North Dakota to see each other. Then after college they ended up at the same airline, however Michael beat her there by about a month. Always in competition, but everyone needs that one friend.
