Love at First Email

Love at first sight? More like love at first new hire email at work. When Jeff started at ADP in April of 2019, and his announcement hit my inbox, I immediately turned to my coworker and friend Diane in awe. From there, I made it my mission to get the attention of the new guy. I did drive by after drive by past his office, asked him the same 3 questions at the work happy hours (which he still reminds me of), and made sure to tell his friends how cute I thought he was. Fast forward a few months later to Jeff joining the same co-ed softball team me and my friends were on, and the rest was history.

Hank and I became fast friends 8 years ago when I started at ADP. Then Diane came into the picture, and the three of us became a trio. From sushi nights, to softball games, to experiencing one of the greatest love stories unfolding before my eyes. Having Hank and Diane as our friends has been such a joy, and watching them fall in love has been a gift. There is no one Jeff and I rather marry us than one of most genuine, kind and personable people we have ever met. Some also say we made Hank our Officiant so he shows up to our wedding on time. No comment!

My #1 hype girl! My soul sister in obnoxious dancing in random places, always having a good time, no matter where we are. There is no one better suited than you to keep the party going all day and night! Thank you for giving me some of my most fun memories over these last few years. I love the love you have for my best friend Sam, and couldn't imagine my big day without you. You ARE the party and now everybody gets to experience it!

This string bean came to Hackettstown HS our sophomore year and joined the volleyball team, where our friendship began. Helen and I became best friends over the course of the year, and from then on, were inseparable. From weekly sleepovers, to long car rides with coke slushies and Taylor Swift, to being each others therapists - I do not have a bond with anyone like I do with Helen. Her wedding weekend was one of the best weekends of my life - so much so, I did a copy and paste!

Will is Jeff's best and oldest friend. Growing up a few houses down the street meant they spent their childhoods running around the neighborhood, house hopping, playing 1-on-1 basketball in the Hank driveway and only sometimes being a PITA for their moms! There is nothing better than having your best friends family become your second family, which is exactly what the Velekei's are to Jeff. We look forward to experiencing all the wedding activities with Will and his beautiful Wife, Euniece.

Going to college is scary, especially when moving into a dorm with girls you don't know. That didn't stop Sam from barging into my room on day 1 at Kutztown, whilst moving in, to tell me she's my new neighbor and friend. I am glad I didn't have a choice in the matter, because after 4 years of college by Sam's side, no one on this earth knows me better.  Sam has an innate ability to form such strong human connections with those in her life, a bond that lasts forever.  Her family is my second family and Sam is truly my sister.

Ryan and Jeff have been close friends since high school and that friendship carried over to their college years at Bloomsburg University, where they were roommates for 2 years. One of our favorite things to do is go grab a bite and see a comedy show with Ryan and his girlfriend Michelle, where we laugh until our faces hurt. We are so lucky to have Ryan and Michelle so close to us, and cant wait to laugh with them some more on August 31st!

To the girl I share all my quirks with. When I met Diane in 2016 on her first day at ADP, I never thought we would be best friends. Probably because she called me "sweetheart" and "honey" in every sentence and I have never met someone as kind and genuine as her...and I am not as nice :) Then she became friends with me, and now all we do is roast each other into oblivion, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Outside of Jeff, Diane is the biggest blessing that has come out of my career at ADP. I am thankful for her, every day. Except when she doesn't text me back.

I just want to put it on record, that Dre was my friend first ;) Dre started at ADP about 6 months after me and was quickly absorbed into the friend group. We went from friends, to neighbors in Bethlehem, to softball teammates. A few years later, Jeff joined ADP and Dre became his mentor with the rest being history. Now the 3 of us enjoy our golf outings, Haller house parties, and everything in between.  Dre is very important to both Jeff and I, and we are so excited to have him be a part of our day!

AKA Summer Steph! Jeff's sister and my drink mixin' partner in crime. From cheering her on at the NYC Marathon while I eat snacks, to enjoying our summers at the Piccione condo in OCMD, and finding every excuse to talk all things dance, I am so happy to have Steph in my life. Just like her sister Amy, if I didn't have them as SIL's, I would chose them as friends.

AKA 5 Borough Bobby! Jeff's brother in law, but more importantly, a close friend to us both. Bobby makes any situation the best time, including single handedly getting section 243 hyped up during an eagles game in a frozen tundra, or sprinting from borough to borough while we track his wife Steph run the NYC marathon. I admire the way Bobby ALWAYS shows up for his wife and kids. Now, he is showing up for Jeff and I in August and we couldn't be more excited!

My girl Amy is Jeff's sister and possibly the sweetest girl on earth. Amy is always down for a good time. Whether it's boarding a tipsy tikki floating bar in the middle of gale force winds or playing games that we both don't understand but laugh our way through it. Amy lights up a room whenever she walks into it, and I am blessed to have such a positive energy in my life. I cannot wait to become your SIL so I can forever compliment your outfits and crack jokes with you at the family functions.

Eric is Jeff's OG brother-in-law! We know Eric is going to make a great groomsman because he gives 100% to everything he does. Including coaching/assisting his kids many sports teams, supporting his wife Amy in her 5K's/marathons, and always expanding on his business with exciting new ventures to help the community around him. Eric paved the way for marrying into the Hanks, and I am very excited to join him!

When the girl I deemed the teacher's pet senior year in our business classes becomes your best friend your last semester at Kutztown University. From midnight library sessions, to jolly rancher drinks at the KU Pub, and blasting Shut Up and Dance With Me 24/7, Kathleen made a time that is scary and confusing (becoming an adult) one of the best times of my life. We launched ourselves into the real world, side by side, and I am forever grateful I did it with her in tow.

Matt and Jeff have been close friends since middle school at East Hills. They then grew even closer at Freedom High School playing football and basketball together, and only getting into a little mischief. Although they didn't go to college together, many weekends were spent together at Penn State, where Matt attended, and at home in the Lehigh Valley on breaks. We don't get to see Matt and his wife Holly as much as we would like, with them living outside of Pittsburg, but when we do get a change to get together, we have the best time joking around with each other. Jeff and Matt will have a tough time getting Holly and I off the dance floor in August ;)

Whether you are local or not, we hope you consider making a weekend out of your stay. There are so many fun things to do in the area, especially at Crystal Springs! We have room blocks for both Friday and Saturday nights at Minerals Hotel, conveniently located on the Crystal Springs campus where all wedding activities take place. Additionally, we have added a few more hotel options outside of the Crystal Springs campus. Please note - only Minerals Hotel has room blocks for the wedding at a discounted rate and there will be no shuttle from the other hotels to Crystal Springs.

An allotted number of rooms have been put aside for Friday, August 30th and Saturday, August 31st for our wedding weekend. Please visit https://bit.ly/SchmidtHankWedding to book your rooms. This website can be used to book a reservation through July 16, 2024. A deposit of one-night room and tax is charged at time of online reservation. If you would like to reserve a room outside of the dates listed or after July 16, 2024 please call Central Reservations at 866-921-0422 ext. 2. and mention the Schmidt-Hank Wedding. You must cancel your reservation 7 days prior to the day of arrival to avoid the penalty of one-night room and tax charged to your credit card.
