Joe and Kelly met in college in late 2013 when they started working together at an on-campus job at Boise State University. Joe was reluctant to date a coworker at first, but Kelly quickly convinced him it was worth the endeavor. They fell in love hard and fast and that has not changed in the last 6 years of their relationship. They both worked 20+ hours a week while also being full-time college students and their relationship only grew stronger. They moved in together in 2015 and have watched each other grow, graduate college, and get hired in their full-time dream jobs. Kelly and Joe knew they were meant to be together since 2013 and so when Joe proposed, they planned their wedding for June 27th, 2020. However, when the coronavirus started spreading in early 2020, Kelly & Joe made the difficult decision to postpone their wedding reception. Instead they decided move forward with their wedding and had a small ceremony on June 27th, 2020. They look forward to finally being able to celebrate their love with their guests on their new reception date: June 11th, 2021.

Hello friends and family! We hope you all can make it to our wedding reception on Friday, June 11th at 6pm. I think we can all agree that the pandemic has affected us all in different ways, but we are so happy to be able to move forward with this reception since we were not able to have it in 2020.

The coronavirus numbers are finally starting to go down, however, the pandemic is still at large, and we are not downplaying this. We want so badly to celebrate with you all, so there will be added precautions at our reception to do our due diligence to keep everyone healthy. First, we are strongly encouraging all guests to bring face masks. If you do not bring one/forget to bring one, we will be providing them. There will be extra hand wash/sanitization areas throughout our venue as well. Tables will be spaced out appropriately and we will have a seating chart to try our best to group together guests who have already been in contact with each other. Finally, we will still have dinner served buffet-style, but we have hired servers who will dish out your food so there will not be as many hands touching the serving utensils.

We want all our guests to feel comfortable coming, but please know that if you are not able to attend due to the coronavirus or for any other reason, we completely and wholeheartedly understand. We wish you and your family health and happiness during these uncertain times.

Joe surprised Kelly on Saturday February 16th, 2019 with the question of a lifetime. They were celebrating Valentine's Day and Joe had planned an evening filled with fun and romance without Kelly's knowledge. He drove her to downtown Boise at 5pm that day where he checked them into the Marriott Hotel on the 9th floor with a stunning view of the city and the mountains. They started the night with some drinks at a local cider house and then had a phenomenal dinner at The Brickyard. After dinner they walked back to the hotel, but Joe stopped the elevator at the 3rd floor and took Kelly to a balcony area that was secluded with a few fire pits blazing. They sat by the fire pit for a few moments admiring the view, when Joe got down on one knee and asked Kelly to be his wife. Kelly was blown away and of course said yes right away. It was the perfect end to a perfect day.
