Derek and Dylan went to high school together. They became best friends after high school. Dylan was the reason Kelsey and Derek met because he invited Derek to be on our volleyball team. We often double date with Dylan and Mariah.

Tori and Kelsey became friends at 10u softball. They became best friends during their B squad softball season. They enjoy having craft nights and game nights together. Tori is always there when needed. She would do anything for anyone.

Brett and Derek met in college at Bethany Lutheran College. They both played basketball at college together and had mutual friends. Brett and Derek’s mind think a lot alike sometimes they even use the same jokes! Overall Brett is a very caring and supportive friend of ours.

Kelsey and Hunter have been friends since 2nd grade in Mrs. Reingstorf’s class. We were roommates in college at MSU and we both work at Lake Crystal Elementary School. Hunter is a very kind and positive person to have in our lives.

Bri has been friends with Kelsey since high school sports. Together they played volleyball, basketball, and softball. Bri and Kelsey hung out in the summers off from school at strength and conditioning, sporting open gyms, breakfast dates, rollerblading dates, and ice cream dates. Bri is kind hearted and full of energy that makes anyone feel good or laugh around her.

Ike and Derek went to Blue Earth Area Schools together but didn’t become close friends until after high school. They both continued their education at Iowa Lakes Community College in Environmental Studies. Ike is an energetic, positive person we are excited to have in our lives.

Brittany is Derek’s little sister. Kelsey can remember when she first met Brittany when Britt asked Derek, well are you going to introduce me to her! She captured our engagement and we cannot say thank you enough! Brittany is creative and enjoys making others feel loved!

Derek and Donte met at college through mutual friends. We like to double date with Donte and Tara when we can. Donte is a fun, easy going guy who loves to have a good time. These two will forever be a part of our lives!

Kyle and Derek became friends the summer after their last year of high school. They went to Blue Earth Area School together. They enjoy spending time frolfing together on the weekends. Kyle is an easy going and reliable friend of ours. We are so excited for him to be a part of our big day!

Mariah and Kelsey became friends when they played volleyball together in New Ulm. Her and Dylan are the reason why Kelsey and Derek met. They often double date with us. Mariah is a sweet and caring person that will forever be our friend.

We met Tara through Donte when they started dating around the time we started dating. We often will double date with her and Donte. Tara is a very caring and loving person.

Elizabeth (Liz) is Kelsey’s brothers girlfriend (basically wife). Liz has been in Kelsey’s life for thirteen years officially. Liz and Kelsey enjoy playing volleyball and play on a women’s league together. Liz is a very creative and hard working person we enjoy having in our lives.

Kendall is Kelsey’s older brother. He would often watch her when she was little and annoying. Kelsey looks up to her brother as a role model. He was always there to protect her (or make her tough) for her future. Kelsey is lucky to have him as an older brother and Derek as a brother in law like him!

Jacob (Jake) met Kelsey through mutual friends. Jake and Derek were introduced to each other through volleyball at Kegal Kourts in New Ulm. Kelsey and Jake would previously and present enjoy game nights at the Botten household. Jake is an energetic, positive attitude and knows how to party. We are excited Jake will be there for our big day!

Leo Kral is Kelsey’s cousin Jon and Chelsey Kral’s kid. Leo is a very energetic, farm loving, country boy. He enjoys riding anything REALLY fast and is a great big brother to Leah Kral. We are so excited for Leo to protect our rings on our big day!

Ava is Dereks little cousin! She is a cute, sweetheart who will be an adorable flower girl for our wedding! She enjoys crafting and being creative! We are so excited for her to wear a pretty dress on our big day!
