Food is one of our top love languages. As you explore LA, be sure to stop by some of our (and our families') all-time favorite places and iconic LA stops! (Fair warning - its a lot of breakfast spots, and a lot of burritos!)
Rinaldi's of Redondo
308 Avenue I Redondo Beach, CA 90277
This is where Kelsey and Dylan met for the first time in 2006. Kelsey's favorite sandwich is The Godfather, and Dylan's is The Ugly. Grab lots of napkins, and head over to a bench on The Esplanade to eat your sandwiches overlooking the ocean.
The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills
9705 S Santa Monica Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90210
If you love cheese, charcuterie, and wine, you MUST visit this iconic store in Beverly Hills. While growing up, Kelsey loved going here with her mom to sample and pick out the stinkiest cheeses for their culinary creations. A visit to the cheese store always meant something amazing was on the menu for dinner. It's also the perfect place to pick out a gift to bring back home!
The Original Red Onion
736 Bart Earle Wy, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274
Few Mexican restaurants hit the spot quite like Red Onion. The Linkes are regulars here. IYKYK.
The Original Pantry Los Angeles
877 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90017
After a night out in Downtown LA, the Pantry is an absolute breakfast must. Classic diner vibes with massive portions. Bonus points if you're still wearing last night's attire.
The Green Temple
1700 S Catalina Ave #103, Redondo Beach, CA 90277
This organic vegetarian/vegan spot is one of Kelsey's all time favorites. She ate the Veggie Steamers probably three times a week during her senior year and still dreams about their magic tofu cream sauce.
Brother's Burritos - Hermosa Beach
24 11th St, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254
Kelsey and Dylan both love this spot near the Hermosa Beach pier for breakfast burritos & bowls. Dylan gets The Triple (burrito), and Kelsey gets the B. Avocado (bowl).
The Kettle
1138 Highland Ave, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
The Coopers and Linkes have been going to The Kettle for longer than they can even remember. This famous spot in the heart of Manhattan Beach, just blocks from the water, is great for any time of day!
Gracias Madre
8905 Melrose Ave, West Hollywood, CA 90069
This WeHo hot spot is an absolute VIBE. Amazing bar and arguably the best patio in LA. Go for a drink or dinner.
The Local Yolk
3414 Highland Ave, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
This Manhattan Beach spot located just before El Porto is one of Dylan's all-time favorite breakfast spots, especially when we want to take a nice drive along the water after. Great omelettes.
El Burrito Jr.
919 S Pacific Coast Hwy, Redondo Beach, CA 90277
Iconic. If you're hungover, one of these breakfast burritos will bring you back to life.
El Cholo - The Original
1121 S Western Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90006
**PARENTS’ CHOICE** Both of Kelsey’s and Dylan’s parents grew up in LA, too, and love this historic Mexican spot! Many date nights were had here over the years.
Original Tommy's World Famous Hamburgers
2575 Beverly Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90057
This is the original location. It's a must-stop place before or after Dodger games. The chili is world-famous for a reason!
Smog City Brewing Co.
1901 Del Amo Blvd, Torrance, CA 90501
This is the Linkes' favorite brewery. Rudi loves the Little Bo Pils and Mila always gets their Coffee Porter.
The Lobster
1602 Ocean Avenue, Santa Monica, CA 90401
If you're exploring Santa Monica and want a proper lobster feast, be sure to check out this place with unparalleled views of Santa Monica & the pier.
Spago of Beverly Hills
176 N Canon Dr, Beverly Hills, CA 90210
Wolfgang Puck himself is known to come by tables and greet his diners (just ask Mrs. Cooper!). If you want to feel like a celeb, pop in for a power-lunch and take in the vibes!
Pink's Hot Dogs
709 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90038
Open till 2am on Fridays and Saturdays, this world-famous hot dog shack is a must-go place after your night out on the town. A Hollywood legend since 1939!
Polo Lounge
9641 Sunset Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA 90210
A Cooper family favorite! Kelsey loves grabbing a drink here with her parents and taking selfies in the fabulous ladies room.
Randy's Donuts
805 W Manchester Blvd, Inglewood, CA 90301
Go for the great donuts, but also to see the famous giant donut atop the building.
Dante Beverly Hills
225 N Canon Dr, Beverly Hills, CA 90210
Dante (yes, like the NYC landmark!) is perched atop the 9th floor of the Maybourne Hotel and boasts a stunning rooftop bar. Come for the views, stay for the fabulous cocktails, great pizza, & delish Italian fare. (Book your Resy early!)
Neptune's Net
42505 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, CA 90265
If you're exploring a little farther up the coast to Malibu, be sure to stop by this sea-side staple.
Roscoe's House of Chicken n' Waffles
730 East Broadway, Long Beach, CA 90802
While the original is in Long Beach, there are locations all over LA. An absolute institution and top spot for soul food.
