Our Story

Kelsey's Side

Logan had me with six little words, "I'll never walk out on you."

Logan and I were first introduced during 2020 in a very modern way... Tinder. We got along great and had wonderful conversation but as those things go, we never met in person. It wasn't until several months later when an awesome woman named Ranley decided that Logan and I needed to meet. They played Auburn Wheelchair Basketball together and knew the story of us never meeting and not continuing to talk.

She soon invited me to a party with the team that she knew he'd be at because she'd taken it upon herself to make this happen. We spent several hours talking and I knew he was special. We had our first date the next week and that was it.

He knew that I was in the process of looking to purchase a home but stayed quiet, just giving knowing looks saying he knew I wouldn't be the only one moving in when the time came. Sure enough, when the closing date was set, I asked him to move in because it really didn't seem like there were any other options.

Seven months after meeting, we started building our home together. We work hard to make sure our space is who we are and authentically OURS. He accepted my two dogs and cat (Luke, Lily and Cat) like they were his own. They'd probably choose him now over me. We added another cat (Kitty) to the mix and love our little family.

Three years into it and Logan proposed. Somehow managing to shock me, he asked in front of our families which was so special to me.

Logan supports me and loves me in ways I didn't know anyone could and I could not imagine going through life without him.

Logan's Side

It all started...on Tinder.

Kel and I first found each other on the dating app in September of 2020. After talking for several months, the two of us drifted apart due to the covid-19 pandemic and the circumstances surrounding both of our lives at that time. Although we drifted apart for a few months, it didn't take us long to find each other again.

In January of 2021, Kel and my good friend, teammate, and groomswoman, Ranley Clayton, happened to meet through mutual friends. While Kel and Ranley were getting acquainted with one another, Ranley had mentioned my name during the conversation and Kel mentioned that we had talked before a few months prior.

Ranley ended up inviting Kel to watch one of our wheelchair basketball games and then to a big party we were having to celebrate our victory in that game over Alabama (War Damn Eagle). As soon as Kel walked into the party, I knew that she was the one I had been waiting on. All it took was one look at the most beautiful blue eyes and smile I've ever seen to know that she was special. Before even speaking, I just had a feeling. We began to get acquainted with one another and talked the whole night. The next day, I woke up to a text from her telling me how great it was to finally meet in person and that we should make plans to hangout again soon. We made plans to have dinner together the following Friday and we never looked back.

From the late-night phone calls, to moving in together; to the countless trips, to now planning this wedding, I can truly say that I have found not only the one, but a best friend that I can spend the rest of my life with. I cannot wait to see what our future holds.
