Katie is my longest and closest friend. She has always been there for me through every phase of our lives. We met at 10 years old and became inseparable at 12. It's now 17 years later and we've experienced moves, high school, college, more moves, breakups, more moves, her wedding and then the birth of her beautiful baby girl. I can't imagine anyone else as my matron of honor more than this best friend soul mate of mine. Love you Kaite!
Morgan Cole - Bridesmaid
Morgan was always my fun friend. The friend that accepted an awkward high school freshman into the friend group without a second thought. As we've gotten older though, I have truly loved the deep and meaningful friendship we have developed. I will always love her beautiful daughter like she is my own and her husband Acton will always fill that roll of having a second brother. Morgan has such a deep love and care for people that I feel honored to be a part of it. Love you Morgan!
Maria Mitchell - Bridesmaid
Maria owns a special piece of my heart not only for the amazing friendship we've had since middle school but for our mutual love of sports. For 7 years of my life, Maria was by my side playing softball in every way you can play it. School ball, travel ball, pitching lessons, hitting lessons, and so much more. Our lack of playing as we graduated and became adults didn't affect our friendship at all. She always has a kind ear and has helped me through so many difficult times. I'm so thankful for our friendship. Love you Maria!
Rachel Bryant - Bridesmaid
Rachel is truly the coolest person I know. You ask anyone in the world to describe her and they will say "Rachel is so cool." I love getting to be a part of that light. Like Morgan she also accepted my awkward self into their friend group at 14 with no questions asked. My favorite memory with Rachel is getting home after a night out while we were living together and tearing into a box of Red Lobster biscuits. We cranked up the music and destroyed those biscuits while dancing around the house. She's a special person because being her friend is full of experiences like that. Love you Rachel!
Meagan Hilyer - Bridesmaid
Meagan helps keep me balanced in a way no one else can. Where she is artsy, I am analytical. Where she is free spirited, I am more pragmatic. I love this so much about her because it has led to some of the most interesting and fun conversations over the years. I remember in college just walking the track with her for hours and talking about everything in life. There have never been a lack of topics for us to discuss and I always leave knowing so much more and at peace. I am so thankful to have her and her presence where I am unsure of a path forward. Love you Meagan!
Kinsley Caudle - Bridesmaid
Kinsley will not only be my sister-in-law but a true sister of my heart. She takes after Logan in that she is truly good: in heart, mind, and soul. I've only been a small part of her life so far but watching her grow from a high school freshman to now a senior has been such a joy. Seeing her excitment as she experiences the big things like sports, homecoming, and prom have been more fun that I would've ever thought. I love hearing her thoughts on things and see her stand up for what she believes. She is so much fun to be around and helps me to remember it's okay to laugh and be goofy. Love you Kinsley!
Hunter Green - Bridesman
I don't even know where to start with Hunter. We have known each other and been friends for almost 10 years. He was my shoulder to cry on during engineering school and has since become one of the most special people in my life. (And no it's not because his name is literally my facvorite color). There are few people who will genuinely care for you like Hunter Green. I'm so thankful to know him and have him in my life. Love you Hunter!
Bryson Caudle - Best Man
Bryson is not only my brother, but he is one of my best friends. We have always been there for one another and had each other’s backs, no matter what. We feel like we can tell each other absolutely anything. Back when I was 13 and dealing with a new life in a wheelchair, it hit everyone hard, but it hit Bryson the hardest. He did everything for me during that time and we came out of it closer than ever. Growing up, we told each other that we would be each other’s best man in our weddings, and I can’t imagine getting married without him by my side.
Ranley Clayton - Groomswoman
Ranley was one of the reasons I wanted to come play basketball at Auburn. I got invited to scrimmage with the team in the spring of 2017 before I transferred to Auburn. I had no idea what I was doing out there on the court. Both during the scrimmage and afterwards, Ranley took the time to teach me some of the basics of wheelchair basketball. While in school and on the team, I knew that if I needed help with anything, basketball or not, Ranley would always be there willing to teach or help. Ranley is also the reason that me and Kel found each other again. Who knows, if it wasn’t for Ranley, me and Kel might not have ever reconnected. I can’t thank Ranley enough for all the knowledge and friendship over the years.
Fisher Risk - Groomsman
Fisher is one of the first people I got close to once I moved to Auburn in August of 2017. When I think of Fish, the first thing that comes to mind is the very first time I went to practice shooting basketball with him. We spent a while rolling around just talking, getting to know each other as friends and teammates, all while missing just about every shot we took…Throughout college and even now, Fish was always willing to hangout. No matter what he has going on, Fish is always willing to change his schedule to make time for his friends. I’m so thankful for his friendship and look forward to many more years of it.
Luke Robinson - Groomsman
Luke became one of my good friends back in the fall of 2019 when he joined the wheelchair basketball team as a freshman. I think anyone would tell you that Luke is one of the hardest working people they’ve ever known. He came in as a 17-year-old freshman and worked harder than anyone on the team, both on the court and in the classroom. Although he is several years younger than me, I’ve always looked up to Luke. He pushed me to be the best version of myself and showed me how to truly work hard to achieve my goals.
Sam Armas - Groomsman
Sam is one of those friends that it doesn’t matter how long we go without talking or seeing each other, we can pick up right where we left off. Sam always was and still is one of my favorite people to be around. Sam and I have really bonded over the years through our love of sports. I think he’s the only other friend in our friend group that actually enjoys baseball. Whether its football, basketball, or baseball games, Sam is always down to go watch something. He is a special person, and I can’t wait to have him with me on my wedding day.
Mackenzie Johnson - Groomsman
Mack was much like me when we first met. We were both transfers coming in to play a sport that we barely knew. We bonded over this, and our friendship grew from there. Mack has always been the fun friend. If there was ever a night we were all going out or spending time at someone’s apartment/dorm, we made sure that Mack was going to be there with us. The energy and fun personality that Mack brings with him is unmatched. We got even closer when we decided to move in together and spend two years as roommates. Whether it was the late-night conversations in the middle of the kitchen or the late-night Disney Plus marathons, I knew that Mack would always be there and I could talk to him about anything.
Zach Pelham - Groomsman
Zach Pelham has become a very special person to me. Right from the start, Zach welcomed me into their family. We have always gotten along very well and have grown closer over the last three years. Zach is one of those people who I can talk to about anything and would give me the shirt off his back if needed. Me and Kel went back and forth for a while trying to figure out how we could include him in the wedding. We decided that it would be special to have him as one of my groomsmen. Zach has welcomed me into his family with open arms and I can’t wait to have my brother-in-law with me on my wedding day.
Zach Dickey - Officiant
Zach Dickey is probably the most unique person I have ever met. There is not another person in the world like Zach. He is one of the funniest people I know, and he approaches every situation with a positive attitude and a smile on his face. Me and Kel knew that we didn’t want to go the normal route for an officiant. We wanted someone who knew both of us, but also someone who could make it all funny and unforgettable. That’s when Zach popped into our heads. We couldn’t think of anyone better to do our ceremony. When we asked him to be our officiant and he said yes and that he wanted to open the ceremony with a quote from “The Office”, we knew we had the right person.
