It was November 2021, Travis was hanging out with his best friends, Kelsey and Clint Brisson, and Kelsey B. was looking through Travis's Hinge profile when she swiped on Kelsey S's profile. She told Travis that, “this girl would be perfect for you, and not just because she has the same name as me!"

Kelsey S. had just moved home 5 months earlier and was out to dinner with her sister Shannon, like she does every Wednesday. While chatting, a notification of a new match came through on her Hinge app. She wasn't really in a place to be trying to date again but Shannon had other plans for her. She had a good feeling about this one and after careful consideration took it upon herself to accept the match. Little did Kelsey know at that time that her future husband would be the one to say, “hi.”

From non-stop messages to their first date on November 19, 2021 to today, their love story has been one that they both have quite frankly waited and prayed for, for so many years. As soon as they started talking, Trav knew she was something special. Travis remembers their first dinner and how he loved how charismatic and personable Kelsey was. He could tell “in the light of the moon that night that she was going to be the one for me.”

As time progressed, Travis wanted to ask Kelsey to be his girlfriend and had a whole date planned to ask her, but two days before the date, she wrote him a note asking him to be her boyfriend. She beat him to the punch! Two years later when Travis knew it was right, he took her back to the place where he had wanted to ask her to be his girlfriend and instead, asked her to be his wife... He beat her to the punch that time!

From the moment Travis entered her life, Kelsey finally knew what it meant to have a partner who truly loved her for exactly who she was. The good… the bad… and everything in between. Travis chose her, truly chose her, and Kelsey chose Travis too! They continue to choose each other every single day. They're best friends, each other's safe places and whole hearts. Kelsey says, “Travis is an answer to 15 years of prayers, and a prayer delivered at precisely the right moment it was meant to be answered. He is the most patient, understanding, accepting, and loving man I've ever known. I often said early on in our relationship that I could feel God's love through his love for me. It was the greatest gift God had given me to date.”

Trav says, “and the rest was history.”
