Kelsie and Chad met in 2019 when Kelsie moved back to Iowa. Their first date was at Dirty Shirley's in the most casual fashion of simple drinks and watching sports. Fittingly Dirty Shirley's (now Red Frog) became a regular hang out for them during their relationship. After time spent as friends, their friendship turned into a fun and exciting relationship with trips to Vegas, Dallas, Chicago and Orlando. Chad and Kelsie spend most of their time enjoying athletic events, trying new bars and restaurants, going to concerts, relaxing with friends, going on adventures with family and just enjoying time at home.

The Story of Us

Kelsie &amp; Chad love to go to live music and the Old 97s have significant importance to them. Their song Question is one song they particularly enjoy listening and dancing to that involves a walk in a park and a special question being asked. On 12/31/2023 Chad asked Kelsie to go for a walk to look at Christmas lights. On the walk he stopped and asked the most important question. Chad proposed with a ring pop in front of the jewelry store where he bought the true engagement ring, it just had not arrived yet. In classic Chad fashion he had a speaker intending to play the song Question, but was too excited (or nervous) and forgot to press play. There were a lot of happy tears and celebrating, with the answer to that question most definitely being YES!

Are kids invites? Do I have a plus one?

We ask that you stick to the addressed guest(s) named on your invitation. Due to limited space we are having a kids free reception (outside of any children in the wedding party). If you are traveling in and need assistance in finding someone to watch your little one Kelsie will connect you with one of our fabulous care providers in the area!

How should I dress?

We want our guests to be comfortable, however we ask that you adhere to Cocktail / Semi-Formal / Dressy Casual Attire.***For women this could be a floor-length dress, tea-length, knee-length, jumpsuit, a dressy skirt and top, a pantsuit or midi look. Whatever you feel your best in.***For men you are not required to wear a suit and tie, but welcome to. Otherwise you can opt for a dress shirt and slacks, with the option to wear a tie. We kindly request no jeans.***This option should give all guests flexibility on comfort. When in doubt feel free to ask us!

How do I RSVP?

An electronic RSVP is the last tab on the knots website. You can enter your name and RSVP from there.

Where are you registered?

The registry tab should have up to date information, however you can find us registered at both Target and Amazon.

Questions

Parking is included for all room stays at the discounted rate. If you are not using parking this room rate will not be able to change. There is also in-out privledge with this ramp.
