Kendall had been eyeing Jerrod roaming the halls of the hospital for years.&nbsp;&nbsp;She became suspicious he may have had his eyes on her after he dropped a patient off to her room in the CVICU from the OR and lingered a little longer than customary.&nbsp;One afternoon at work, she seized the opportunity to ask the cute young doctor on duty if he would be willing to help her get a difficult IV on her patient.&nbsp;This was a perfect opportunity for Jerrod to impress Kendall by teaching her a new technique using ultrasound for IV placement – unfortunately, Kendall remembered this moment more for his inability to be of any value as a teacher since she missed and he placed the IV and left in a hurry.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Regardless, an impression was made.&nbsp;&nbsp;Fast forward a few weeks and the two coincidentally crossed paths again at an outdoor music concert, each with their respective friend groups.&nbsp;This time it it was Kendall’s turn to teach Jerrod something…all the words to Country Grammar and how to syphon beer from a beer truck that had already been closed down for the night.&nbsp;The next time they met in person would be back in the hospital one evening when Jerrod dropped off a heart transplant from the OR to Kendall’s ICU room.&nbsp;&nbsp;Again, Jerrod lingered in Kendall’s room much longer than necessary and regretted having to leave at all.&nbsp;&nbsp;The next heart Jerrod would give Kendall was his own, and she in turn, gave hers to him, and their hearts have been beating in synchrony ever since.&nbsp;
