Kendall and Adam’s journey began during their sophomore year of college. Kendall had an upcoming sorority formal, and her friends thought it would be fun to go with a group of guys, many of which Kendall and the girls didn’t know. So, blind dates were set up, and Adam found himself paired with Lily, while Kendall was matched with Noah.

The weekend before the formal, the guys decided to host a get-together to break the ice. When Kendall arrived at Adam's college house for the party, Adam asked if she was Lily, secretly hoping she was. Although they didn't go to the formal together, this initial encounter kick-started a close friendship that eventually blossomed into a romantic relationship.

Fast forward 6.5 years from that fateful meeting, as they were getting ready to head to the airport for a family vacation in Florida, Adam surprised Kendall with a pre-vacation marriage proposal – and Kendall said yes!
