This is a popular trail for road biking, running, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

Located on Arkansas Highway 319 just outside of town, Cadron Settlement Park is a favorite of locals, who find it a convenient and scenic place to stretch their legs and enjoy the views of the river and cliffs that frame the park.

The park includes well-marked walking and biking trails that lead through wooded areas. There’s a map posted near the parking lot and trailhead, so you’ll get a good idea where each path leads.

Due to its abundance of birds and views, it’s a great place to snap a few photos, so make sure your phone is charged.

SoMa

Picture of SoMa
SOUTH MAIN ST. (12TH THROUGH 29TH STREETS) LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS 72202

Kendra's favorite:

Part historic, part hipster-heaven, South Main – SoMa – began as an accidental neighborhood, a now-happy bi-product of an unhappy division of Main Street by a major freeway through the middle of Little Rock. Though the area took years to rebound, the only real problem SoMa has now is its boundless attractiveness; people and businesses want in, but real estate is hard to come by.

But the eclectic businesses, historic homes, revitalized apartments, and bits of top-notch new construction blend together in a deliciously distinctive urban pie that everyone should taste at least once. From shops to restaurants to music venues to unusual spaces to create art (or new bodies), SoMa has something to suit every taste.

And SoMa is conveniently close to Central High (the only high school in the U.S. that’s also a national park), Mt. Holly Cemetery, Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, the Clinton Presidential Library, and many more important Little Rock sites.

SoMa is proud to be a Main Street America Accredited Program by the National Main Street Center and Main Street Arkansas.

William J. Clinton Library and Museum

1200 President Clinton Ave, Little Rock, AR 72201, USA

The William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum is located on the grounds of the Clinton Presidential Center and Park. Including the National Archives & Records Administration, the grounds also carry offices for the Clinton Foundation's Little Rock office and the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service.

In addition to the archival collections and research facilities, the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum features exhibits, special events, and educational programs for the public. The museum exhibits includes replicas of the Oval Office and the Cabinet Room. A timeline and alcoves highlight domestic and foreign policy, as well as life in the White House. Permanent exhibits utilize documents, photographs, videos, and interactive stations, while two temporary galleries rotate traveling and in-house constructed exhibits.

The grounds share space with The Choctaw rail station, which once served as a stop for the Rock Island Rocket, and in vicinity to the center is Heifer International, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, and eStem Elementary School.
