The Lord had been pulling us together long before we ever met. I remember how magnetized I was to Texas in 2020. It was TCU or bust. I made my way down to the Lone Star state almost exactly a month ahead of Jed. He had his own reasons for heading South. The main one being the desire to grow spiritually in a new place. As we both settled into our new Texas lives, we were each independently introduced to a dear friend, who had also traveled quite the journey to get to the DFW area. Jed and Eric became inseparable friends within their Church's Young Adult Group. And Eric became a dear friend of mine I would go on to organize prayer walks on campus with. But the Lord had much work to do in our individual lives before He would bring us together in the Spring of 2024. We both participated in global mission projects, actively worked on self-growth, and formed meaningful relationships with the people who have become our Texas families. Degrees and certifications were earned, careers were changed, and hearts were prepared. Then came May 10th, 2024. Our connection was immediate. While I didn't yet have the understanding for the feeling, I knew that very day, I was supposed to know this man. At the invitation of Eric, I had shown up to a group Honky Tonk outing. Jed was there. My soul was at ease from our very first conversation. He was not a stranger -- he was familiar in a way. Many dances later, I fled the dance floor in a hurry, eager to get home as to not miss my roommate, Abby's, graduation the next day. Before my head hit the pillow, I asked the Lord to reintroduce me to this man who had captured my attention if that was what He had in store. The very next morning, sitting in the auditorium, awaiting the start of the Graduation ceremony, my phone dinged. "Hey Kennedy, this is Jedidiah..." Turns out Eric is the king of giving out people's number without telling them. But clearly, I can't complain. That text changed my life in the most extraordinary of ways. *** We sat down for our first date and an unfamiliar thought flitted through my mind. "This could be your husband." Needless to say, my nerves got the best of me. I forgot the queso in front of us existed... my mascara smudged... I thought I looked like a raccoon. (Eric has a lovely lineup of voice memos from the debrief of the date if you're looking for a good laugh). All in all, I thought I had blown it. But a text about a second date boosted my confidence enough to loosen up. A putt-putt date meant to last a few hours wound up going on eight or nine hours before we could pull ourselves away from the conversation. Our friendship formed as naturally as the smile that I couldn't wipe off my face for a month straight. And really, that's the story right there. This man is my very best friend. He's my favorite church date, dance partner, and travel buddy. He's the Adam to my Eve. And this wedding is our Genesis -- it's the beginning of our covenant relationship with each other and the Lord. An unbreakable promise to love without restraint for as long as Heaven fills our lungs with breath. ***I have a small tattoo on my arm that Jed asked me about when we first met. "Love abundantly," it says. To love God and to love people: that is our mission in our union as a married couple. Thank you, for joining us in sharing our special day with us. It is our great hope and prayer that our love story will reflect a far greater love story. The love of The Father. Ashlyn stands at an astounding 6'8 (if height was measured by personality). Ashlyn is the funniest person Kennedy knows, and also the most loyal. As Kennedy's sister, Ashlyn has been her longest friend. Together, the two have encountered all that life has to offer from endless giggles to tearful hugs.  Ashlyn is Kennedy's built-in-best friend, and the best sister a girl could ask for.

Eric is one of Jed's closest friends. They first met each other at Church in Texas where they soon became an inseparable duo. Jed enjoys the deep, intruiging, and often times hilarious conversations he shares with Eric. From working on podcast episodes to dancing the night away at the honky tonk, it's always a good time when these two get together. Eric is credited with introducing Jed to Kennedy, and has played a very important role in Jed's life.

Abby and Kennedy have lived just a door away from each other for the past four years. The two joke that they have 'separation anxiety,' because they cherish their late-night talks sitting on the floor of the hallway between their rooms so dearly. Abby is a profound spiritual leader in her community and beloved friend. 

Abigail Hedberg

From Youth Group student to close friend, Ian has played a significant role in Jed’s life. Whether on a garbage truck or in underground repairs they always find themselves working together. They enjoy working hard and getting the job done— all with a smile. They have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly with each other and have remained close friends through it all.

Alyssa and Kennedy have been disrupting classrooms since 2013. Alyssa has the most infectious laugh and a smile that lights up any room. This red-headed beauty has the kindest heart and most genuine enthusiasm in her support of her friends. Alyssa is incredibly detail-oriented and so very creative!

Alyssa Fairhurst

Noah is Jed’s closest brother in age. They both have a shared interest in fantasy hockey, stocks, and strategy board games. Jed has enjoyed playing hockey, frisbee golf, and family game nights with Noah. When looking for a new stock to invest in, Jed loves to hear Noah's thoughts and insights. Jed looks up to Noah for his bright mind, and well researched ideas. 

Noah Bosman

Allie is one of Kennedy's first TCU friends. The two have lived together for the past four years and share many memories from ear-piercing journeys to wedding dress fittings. Allie is a brilliant mind with a sincere dedication to providing compassionate care to friends and patients alike. 

Allison Hill

Micah is Jed's youngest brother. Jed remembers many sweet car conversations that led to the two developing a special bond. From taking Micah to the youth group Jed helped lead, to taking Micah to his hockey games, there was ample opportunity for conversation. They both enjoy the ins and outs of fantasy hockey and talking about future prospects. When Jed’s in town they enjoy the time they share at family game nights together. 

Micah Bosman

Angelica has served many roles in Kennedy's life. From mentor to mission partner to co-laborer in college ministry, Angelica has been there for it all. Angelica is the extrovert to Kennedy's introvert. She has pushed Kennedy to broaden her horizons and break out of her shell. Angelica's passion for the nations has had a profound impact on how Kennedy sees the World and her role in it.

Luke is the oldest brother to Jed. Growing up they bonded over enjoying the same video games, music, and movies. But, for these two brothers, the real fun started when Luke got his license. From going to the movies while sneaking in food, to going to concerts they both enjoyed, there were a lot of memorable adventures they shared together. The car rides these two shared together are cherished memories for Jed.

Elle is the sweetest soul with a deep level of compassion. Elle and Kennedy have giggled their way through many TCU classrooms as they entertained themselves throughout their studies. Whether the topic is alien-related cults or psychology, Elle's studious mind has driven her to great academic success.

Jacob is one of Jed’s closest and most longstanding friends. They first hit it off in high school gym class and that initial meeting has grown into a very sweet friendship. They enjoy going fishing, golfing, and exploring new places. Jed enjoys Jacob's out-of-pocket comments, humor, his fascination with insects and animals, and the trips they go on with their high school friends

You will often hear Kennedy lovingly refer to Roshni as her "Texas Little Sister." Roshni is a deep-thinker who asks insightful questions and just as easily lightens the mood with spurts of silliness. She is an absolute joy to be around! Roshni is profoundly passionate about bringing people together to give praise to the Lord.

Dan played a key role in Jed’s life when they both began seeking God around the same time. They served to sharpen each other as they spurred each other on in the faith. With late night hangs filled with worship, Bible studies, and a little too much laughter, it was always an enjoyable time when they got together. They especially bonded over the time they learned eating burritos from Los Burritos to break a fast is not a good idea.

Jed's niece, Kiera will be the most junior member of the bridal party. She will be participating in the key role of 'flower girl.' Kiera is quiet until she's comfortable around you, and her giggle is contagious! She loves babies, kitties, and anything that sparkles. Looking up to her mom, Kiera enjoys helping take care of her three brothers.

Jaxen takes after his uncle, Jed, with his love for all things Hockey. As ring-bearer, Jaxen is taking on an important responsibility in the wedding day. But, the pressure isn't phasing him as he enjoys learning and tackling new skills. Jaxen loves dinsaurs, drawing, and the Chicago Blackhawks. He's not afraid to get dirty and do some hard work around his family's property.

Harmann was one of Kennedy’s earliest friendships at TCU. Over the years, they’ve had numerous conversations about culture, religion, and life at an American university. It’s these conversations that led to Harmann encouraging Kennedy to apply for her current role as an International Admission Counselor at TCU. And just like in everything else, he was her advocate throughout the application process.

As the youngest brother of older sisters, Michael naturally became the big brother to Kennedy and many of her friends. Whether it was helping everyone study for Ancient Greek or navigating the ancient city of Rome safely, Michael was fiercely dedicated to the safety and success of his friends. Wild stories and all, Michael will spare nothing to protect the vulnerable and speak life over those he loves.

This hotel is conveniently located around 20-25 minutes from the venue. The town of Palestine has plenty to offer from local coffee shops to your favorite coffee chain. There will be cosmetic renovations taking place on the outside of the hotel at this time, but they will not affect your ability to stay here!

Hampton Inn & Suites Palestine

These cabins are a cozy retreat about a 20-25 minute drive out or so from the venue. If you're looking to experience the peaceful nature of East Texas, this is a great spot to stay!

This hotel is conveniently located in a nearby town, about 30 minutes from the venue in beautiful East Texas.

Best Western Plus Royal Mountain Inn & Suites

Our venue is about two hours out from Dallas-Fort Worth. Many of our local friends will choose to travel to the venue and back the day of the wedding. However, for those local to the area who choose to make it a weekend retreat, there are plenty of East Texas Airbnbs and cabins that make for a gorgeous stay. For those joining us from out of state, we have listed a few hotels and cabins that are nearby for your convenience. However, please feel free to check out other travel options on your own! East Texas is a gorgeous area with stunning scenery and lots of wildlife if you're looking for a retreat. Texas just may surprise you!
