Their love story began in driver’s training in the summer of 2012. Jacob asked Kennedy for a pencil almost every day as an excuse to talk to her. When school started that fall, they became fast friends since they had classes together. Jacob helped Kennedy with her chemistry homework – who knows if she would have passed without him! Eventually, they realized they had romantic chemistry and started dating in December 2013.

In 2022 Jacob coordinated with Kennedy’s friends to plan a surprise proposal in Traverse City! Kennedy thought the trip was a girl’s weekend without a set itinerary and constantly tried to change the plans for their wine tasting, not realizing she was making herself late to the proposal – keeping Jacob and her family waiting for her arrival. Eventually, she made it to the proposal spot, and Jacob surprised her by popping the question in front of their friends and family. Kennedy was instantly in tears at the shock of it all but was so excited to say yes!

Ten years in, we’ve made countless memories, moved into our first home, and added a golden retriever named Daphne and adopted a fish named Cheddar to our family. We’re so excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to celebrate with you at our wedding ceremony and reception in August!
