Our Wedding

That was the plan Katie gave Kenny going into their first date — but neither of them was ready to call it a night, and one drink turned into a full night of bar hopping across Raleigh. Somewhere in there, talk turned to travel: Katie had her 30th birthday trip to Aruba all planned out, and Kenny, without missing a beat, told her she was coming to Prague with him instead. She figured he was just showboating — until a few months later, the two of them were actually there. Prague was just the start; France and Switzerland followed, and Katie's flying standards have never quite recovered (there's no going back to economy once you've flown first class with Kenny).By November 2022, it was official — Kenny asked Katie to be his girlfriend in Tallahassee. One of those early trips doubled as his trial by fire, meeting her entire family all at once at her brother's wedding — and he passed with flying colors. Somewhere along the way, he also turned her into a genuine hockey fan — one who now watches games on her own when he's not around, even if it's never quite as fun without him there to narrate. Katie holds up her end too, tagging along to car show after car show, cheering him on even though it's very much his thing and not hers.The two of them have kept up the momentum ever since, racking up trips together to Virginia, Florida, Nebraska, Missouri, New Jersey, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and more (their dog Zeke, no fan of car rides, always happy to hold down the fort at home). Then in June 2026, back where it all started in Raleigh, Kenny asked Katie to marry him. Through all of it, they've pushed each other to grow, chase more, and say yes to the next adventure — together.

Is this an adults-only wedding?Sandals Royal Curaçao is an adults-only (18+) resort, so as a general rule, this is an adults-only celebration. If we've specifically invited your children by name on your invitation or RSVP, they're absolutely welcome; otherwise, we kindly ask that you leave the kids at home and treat this as a grown-ups' getaway! Can I bring a date?Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding! What if I don't RSVP on time?We will miss celebrating with you! We need to provide our venue with exact numbers by a certain date, so please do not RSVP late. What is a ROH (Run of the House) room?ROH is a guaranteed room at the resort for the duration of your visit in a premium luxury level accommodation. Room locations are not provided until the day of arrival. At Sandals Royal Curacao, ALL luxury-level rooms look like upgraded Club-Level rooms. The difference is the location and features. (room service and access to the club sandals lounge is not included) Can I upgrade my Room? Yes! During our initial consult, we'll discuss the room block. If there is a specific room you would like to book, we can make the request to bring it in. Timing is key, and we recommend reviewing all options at your earliest convenience so we have access to the most inventory. What is the deposit amount and when is it due? The initial deposit is $500, followed by a payment equal to 50% of your room total on March 1st, 2027, followed by final payment on July 1st, 2027 Can Rivage Travel book my airfare?: It is recommended that guests book their own flights. When traveling from different airports, on different schedules, and with different budgets and airline loyalty programs, individual booking gives everyone the flexibility to choose the flights, dates, and price points that work best for you, including the option to arrive early or extend your stay. It also avoids the risk and cost exposure associated with a group air block, where schedule changes, cancellations, or minimum-passenger requirements can create complications. As your travel advocate, we will be here to assist in any way possible should there be delays or interruptions during your travels. We highly recommend booking air 6 - 9 months from travel to ensure the best availability and pricing. Are passports required?: Yes, a valid passport is required to visit Curacao. Please make sure your passport is valid for 6 months past the date of your return flight. What are the cancellation policies?: Once inside 60 days (July 16th, 2027), no cancellations or refunds are permitted. We highly recommend travel insurance to protect your trip costs in the event you're unable to attend after July 16th, 2027. If canceled between March 1st and July 1st, (25%) of the room cost will be refunded, and if canceled between the initial deposit date and March 1st, 100% can be refunded. Can I make changes to my existing reservation?: Changes to your reservation are allowed without a change fee prior to final payment as long as the inventory is available. However, if moving dates outside of the group block, the rate is subject to change. Is there a dress code?We're keeping it dressy but tropical — think "resort formal." For guys: linen or lightweight suits and dress shirts, sport coats optional, dress sandals or loafers welcome. For ladies: maxi dresses, jumpsuits, or flowy formal separates in tropical colors and prints.
