Paige and Kenny met while at the Naval Academy in Annapolis. They were in the 12th company together for 3 years, but their friendship began while walking to gospel choir practices together. These 10 minute conversations grew into an incredible lifelong friendship that grows richer every year. Paige was there for Kenny before, during, and beyond the highs and lows of his coming out journey. Paige and Kenny continue to make lifelong memories visiting each other every month. Paige is a Naval Helicopter Pilot stationed in Norfolk, VA.

2/3 of the triplets. Kenny and Elisabeth grew up with very similar friends. Kenny played Barbie with his sister to give her company as the only girl on trips, but don't be fooled, Elisabeth was as tough, if not tougher, in keeping up with the boys. We spent many summers together catching fireflies in a jar, shooting HORSE in driveway, and playing man-hunt with the neighborhood kids. Kenny and Elisabeth told each other as merely toddlers that they would be a doctor and a vet one day. Now they have the joy of living that dream - Elisabeth is a Veterinary Ophthalmologist in Raleigh, NC.

The third of the trips bunch. Kenny and Bobby were each other's first room mate. We decided to make our bedroom themed Baltimore Ravens which made Bobby happy because he loves football, and Kenny happy because his favorite color is purple. Bobby was also Kenny's first team mate in many sports that they would try together: baseball, soccer, golf, and basketball. Kenny did not try football with his brother, but very much cherishes the memories of rooting him on from the bleachers. Kenny and Bobby have many fond memories surf-fishing with dad, playing sharks and minnows at Freedom pool, and scuba-diving in the Caribbean. Bobby has also manifested his dream and is a Veterinary Radiologist in Philadelphia, PA.

Kenny and Jarred met while at the Naval Academy together. Throughout their plebe summer and plebe year Jarred was in 13th company and Kenny was in 12th. Kenny fondly recalls times where Jarred would motivate his company-mates during morning PT yelling "lets go ladies." In a short amount of time, Kenny and Jarred forged a friendship while traveling across the country as members of the gospel choir. Jarred was a monumental friend, confidant, security guard, and mentor as Kenny came out and took his first steps into life as a gay man. As two openly gay men of only 4-5 in our graduating class, Jarred and Kenny became two peas in a pod, or as well call it, soul sisters. To this day, Kenny and Jarred make a valuable effort to see each other every year and to be present for big occasions. We have successfully celebrated every Pride and Halloween together since college in different cities around the country.

Kenny and Kassi met on day one of plebe summer at USNA during sports period. Kassi was also in the gospel choir in which very fond memories were made throughout their college years. If Kenny and Kassi make it to the dance floor, they know it is going to be the best of nights. Somewhere along the way it became their thing to take fireball shots together. Even though we know that the sweet whiskey puts them at a risk for a hang-over the next day, it is still a must when they meet up for the nostalgia. Kassi has been stationed out in San Diego California as a Surface Warfare Officer for the past few years and Kenny cherishes every opportunity to visit his dear friend and dancing partner.

Kenny and Ruben met while in Medical School in Washington, DC. Together, they started a group on campus that was dedicated for providing community, advocacy, and resources for LGBT+ students and staff. Through this project their friendship was born and has been brilliant ever since. From trips to across Spain, Mexico, Texas, Seattle, and California - Kenny and Ruben have developed a very special lifelong friendship. Ruben was an incredible friend and confidant for Kenny as they navigated medical school, dating, and heartbreaks as gay men together. After meeting Ryan for the first time following Kenny and Ryan's second date, Ruben told Kenny with confidence that he knew Ryan was "the one."

Isaac and Kenny were company mates and roommates while at the US Naval Academy. Although the Navy decided that they would spend a lot of time together in the hot Annapolis summer of 2013 as plebes, the two grew a friendship that would last a lifetime. Isaac has always been a huge ally and support for Kenny in navigating his life, and Ryan and Kenny's relationship. On a warm spring evening in 2016, Isaac was the very first person that Kenny came-out to. A reflection of the character of their friendship, Kenny cherishes that moment and is grateful to have a friend who created a secure space to have a vulnerable conversation that would change his life for the better.

Eryn and Kenny became friends through trauma-bonding while enduring hours of afternoon labs as Chemistry Majors. Whenever asked to choose lab partners, Kenny always hoped to get paired with Eryn because paired with her briliance, she brightens every room that she walks into. It was only fitting that Kenny and Eryn became Capstone research partners in their final year. Following graduation Eryn became a Surface Warfare Officer and the two have visited each other between DC and Virginia Beach. Eryn married her USNA sweetheart Khaalif, and Kenny enjoys every opportunity to visit the two and make more memories!

Dory has been in Kenny's life as a friend for the longest. The two met while running on the Cross Country Team at Liberty High School. Whenever there were slower runs of the agenda for practice, you could spot Kenny and Dory chit-chatting away and probably not hitting the times they sought out for...worth it :) Dory went off to the US Air Force Academy which was the initial inspiration for Kenny to look into attending a Service Academy. The two kept in touch over the years and Dory served as a cherished mentor to Kenny as he navigated Service Academy life and time as a Junior Officer. When Kenny started his residency at Walter Reed he got the best news ever - Dory was moving back to DC! Now, Kenny and Dory have had so much fun making memories that will last a lifetime. Dory is now a commissioned officer in the Space Force, knows 3 languages, and works for SpaceX . Although a decade may have passed, their friendship feels like time has stood still.

Kenny and Dionnah are kindered spirits and have always had the most fun in each other's company. The two developed a friendship while touring the country as members of he USNA Gospel Choir. Weekly rehearsals standing on the risers in Alumni hall became reunions for the two and "The GC Crew." Dionnah has been a friend that has pushed Kenny to get out of his comfort zone and try new things. In their last year at Annapolis, Dionnah accompanied Kenny to his first dance classes which he still enjoys attending today when he can. Beyond graduation the two have made trips to visit one another and remain present in each others lives. Kenny was incredibly honored to accept the role of God-Father in Dionnah's daughter's (Milani) life. Dionnah is married to the love of her life, Elijah, and the three live in Norfolk, VA as Dionnah is an IP Officer.
