Our Wedding

K:&nbsp;I&nbsp;would&nbsp;argue&nbsp;there&nbsp;wasn't&nbsp;exactly&nbsp;fire...T:&nbsp;I&nbsp;had&nbsp;to&nbsp;fight&nbsp;off&nbsp;a&nbsp;Marine&nbsp;Regiment&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;island&nbsp;of&nbsp;Okinawa&nbsp;during&nbsp;Covid&nbsp;for&nbsp;her&nbsp;attention...K:&nbsp;Ooookay,&nbsp;I&nbsp;wasn't&nbsp;THAT&nbsp;popular.&nbsp;Besides,&nbsp;I'd&nbsp;known&nbsp;about&nbsp;this&nbsp;mysterious&nbsp;"Andrews&nbsp;on&nbsp;night&nbsp;shift"&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;while.&nbsp;When&nbsp;I&nbsp;finally&nbsp;got&nbsp;to&nbsp;meet&nbsp;him,&nbsp;we&nbsp;got&nbsp;to&nbsp;know&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;over&nbsp;the&nbsp;next&nbsp;few&nbsp;months,&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;started&nbsp;to&nbsp;think&nbsp;I'd&nbsp;found&nbsp;a&nbsp;forever&nbsp;friend.T:&nbsp;Kenzie&nbsp;was&nbsp;quiet&nbsp;when&nbsp;I&nbsp;met&nbsp;her,&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;slowly&nbsp;got&nbsp;to&nbsp;learn&nbsp;how&nbsp;intelligent&nbsp;she&nbsp;was.&nbsp;We&nbsp;learned&nbsp;more&nbsp;about&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;through&nbsp;board&nbsp;games&nbsp;and&nbsp;long&nbsp;nights&nbsp;while&nbsp;working&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;same&nbsp;office.K:&nbsp;...&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;got&nbsp;to&nbsp;see&nbsp;how&nbsp;kind&nbsp;and&nbsp;thoughtful&nbsp;he&nbsp;is&nbsp;and&nbsp;all&nbsp;his&nbsp;other&nbsp;great&nbsp;qualities.&nbsp;We&nbsp;started&nbsp;dating&nbsp;January&nbsp;24th,&nbsp;2021,&nbsp;and&nbsp;soon,&nbsp;I&nbsp;knew&nbsp;that&nbsp;he&nbsp;was&nbsp;going&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;so&nbsp;much&nbsp;more&nbsp;to&nbsp;me&nbsp;than&nbsp;a&nbsp;forever&nbsp;friend.T:&nbsp;After&nbsp;coaxing&nbsp;her&nbsp;out&nbsp;on&nbsp;dates&nbsp;and&nbsp;sharing&nbsp;my&nbsp;love&nbsp;of&nbsp;movies&nbsp;with&nbsp;her,&nbsp;I&nbsp;learned&nbsp;I&nbsp;wanted&nbsp;to&nbsp;stop&nbsp;looking&nbsp;for&nbsp;another&nbsp;partner.&nbsp;So,&nbsp;I&nbsp;made&nbsp;a&nbsp;promise&nbsp;to&nbsp;Kenzie&nbsp;back&nbsp;in&nbsp;June&nbsp;of&nbsp;2021.K:&nbsp;We&nbsp;promised&nbsp;devotion&nbsp;to&nbsp;each&nbsp;other,&nbsp;and&nbsp;although&nbsp;it&nbsp;wasn't&nbsp;the&nbsp;right&nbsp;time&nbsp;to&nbsp;get&nbsp;married,&nbsp;we&nbsp;knew&nbsp;that&nbsp;after&nbsp;we&nbsp;left&nbsp;the&nbsp;Marine&nbsp;Corps,&nbsp;we&nbsp;wanted&nbsp;to&nbsp;make&nbsp;it&nbsp;happen.T:&nbsp;We&nbsp;had&nbsp;to&nbsp;go&nbsp;long-distance&nbsp;for&nbsp;some&nbsp;time.&nbsp;After neither of us decided&nbsp;to&nbsp;reenlist,&nbsp;I&nbsp;left&nbsp;Okinawa&nbsp;first,&nbsp;then&nbsp;several&nbsp;long&nbsp;months&nbsp;later,&nbsp;Kenzie&nbsp;was&nbsp;here,&nbsp;and&nbsp;we&nbsp;found&nbsp;a&nbsp;home&nbsp;in&nbsp;Virginia.&nbsp;We&nbsp;have&nbsp;met&nbsp;friends,&nbsp;each&nbsp;others&nbsp;families,&nbsp;and&nbsp;spent&nbsp;time&nbsp;learning&nbsp;how&nbsp;to&nbsp;live&nbsp;with&nbsp;each&nbsp;other.K:&nbsp;Enter&nbsp;one,&nbsp;Sir&nbsp;Jaster&nbsp;T.&nbsp;Smittlemitten,&nbsp;then&nbsp;Lucina&nbsp;G.&nbsp;Wysterian&nbsp;(that's&nbsp;how&nbsp;they&nbsp;prefer&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;addressed,&nbsp;we&nbsp;just&nbsp;comply).&nbsp;Shortly&nbsp;after,&nbsp;we&nbsp;got&nbsp;engaged&nbsp;on&nbsp;June&nbsp;29th,&nbsp;2024,&nbsp;over&nbsp;two&nbsp;plates&nbsp;of&nbsp;french&nbsp;toast&nbsp;in&nbsp;our&nbsp;small&nbsp;apartment&nbsp;in&nbsp;Manassas,&nbsp;Virginia.T:&nbsp;Kenzie&nbsp;had&nbsp;moved&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;year&nbsp;before,&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;had&nbsp;planned&nbsp;to&nbsp;propose&nbsp;back&nbsp;in&nbsp;2023,&nbsp;but&nbsp;sometimes,&nbsp;life&nbsp;has&nbsp;a&nbsp;way&nbsp;of&nbsp;putting&nbsp;you&nbsp;down&nbsp;when&nbsp;things&nbsp;are&nbsp;getting&nbsp;good.&nbsp;Kenzie&nbsp;stayed&nbsp;through&nbsp;the&nbsp;tough&nbsp;times,&nbsp;and&nbsp;I&nbsp;didn't&nbsp;want&nbsp;to&nbsp;let&nbsp;an&nbsp;opportunity&nbsp;pass.&nbsp;After&nbsp;making&nbsp;breakfast&nbsp;for&nbsp;us&nbsp;and&nbsp;enjoying&nbsp;time&nbsp;with&nbsp;our&nbsp;two&nbsp;precious&nbsp;cats,&nbsp;I&nbsp;decided&nbsp;that&nbsp;then&nbsp;was&nbsp;now&nbsp;or&nbsp;never.&nbsp;I&nbsp;had&nbsp;received&nbsp;her&nbsp;parents'&nbsp;blessing&nbsp;and&nbsp;knew&nbsp;that&nbsp;there&nbsp;was&nbsp;no&nbsp;time&nbsp;like&nbsp;the&nbsp;present.K:&nbsp;Of&nbsp;course&nbsp;I&nbsp;said&nbsp;yes.&nbsp;How&nbsp;could&nbsp;I&nbsp;not?&nbsp;This&nbsp;man&nbsp;has&nbsp;kept&nbsp;me&nbsp;going&nbsp;when&nbsp;I&nbsp;didn't&nbsp;think&nbsp;I&nbsp;could,&nbsp;and&nbsp;he&nbsp;helps&nbsp;me&nbsp;create&nbsp;the&nbsp;best&nbsp;memories&nbsp;that&nbsp;I&nbsp;will&nbsp;cherish&nbsp;forever,&nbsp;and&nbsp;he&nbsp;happens&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;an&nbsp;amazing,&nbsp;one-of-a-kind&nbsp;sort&nbsp;of&nbsp;guy.&nbsp;So,&nbsp;here&nbsp;we&nbsp;are...K&amp;T:This&nbsp;is&nbsp;our&nbsp;story,&nbsp;forged&nbsp;by&nbsp;fire,&nbsp;that&nbsp;has&nbsp;brought&nbsp;us&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;point&nbsp;of&nbsp;rebirth&nbsp;through&nbsp;marriage&nbsp;on&nbsp;June&nbsp;16th&nbsp;of&nbsp;2025.&nbsp;Even&nbsp;if&nbsp;you&nbsp;are&nbsp;unable&nbsp;to&nbsp;make&nbsp;it,&nbsp;just&nbsp;know&nbsp;we&nbsp;both&nbsp;appreciate&nbsp;the&nbsp;support&nbsp;and&nbsp;friendship&nbsp;that&nbsp;each&nbsp;of&nbsp;you&nbsp;provides.&nbsp;Thank&nbsp;you&nbsp;for&nbsp;reading&nbsp;our&nbsp;story&nbsp;and&nbsp;celebrating&nbsp;with&nbsp;us,&nbsp;wherever&nbsp;you&nbsp;will&nbsp;be!
