Tom spent his childhood summers in Orient, NY, surrounded by salt air and sunsets, while Kerri grew up cherishing her own warm-weather memories in Beach Haven West at her Uncle Bob and Aunt Lynda’s shore house. Every summer, their neighbor John would smile at Kerri and say, “I’m going to find the perfect guy for you.” Little did anyone know how right he would be.

A little over seven years ago, John asked Kerri what she was doing on July 20th. As always, she planned to spend the weekend down the shore. But this time, John insisted she had to be there early on Friday—so she should come down Thursday night. Something in his voice made her listen.
